On January 26th, Quan Hongchan updated her social media account with several photos of her family. Soon after, an online video showed her riding an electric scooter with her sisters around the village. On January 27th, Quan Zihua, a village official from Maihe village, confirmed that Quan Hongchan had returned to the village on the afternoon of January 26th.

Quan Hongchan's father, Quan Wenmao, stated on the 27th that the whole family was delighted to have her home, though there were no special preparations. Everything was just as usual. "We just killed a chicken and cooked some dishes to welcome her."

Notably, Quan Hongchan's brother, Quan Jinhua, shared photos of the Chinese New Year red envelopes and handwritten blessings she gave to the family these days. The green envelopes with cartoon designs featured the message, "My dear brother, life is short, just do what you love."

Quan Zihua mentioned that the family is very low-key, and although the villagers welcomed Quan Hongchan's return, no special welcome ceremony was held. Before her arrival, the village had arranged for additional safety barriers in front of her house to prevent congestion, and "many visitors were expected to come and take photos."

Quan Zihua also pointed out that Quan Hongchan's rise to fame has brought significant changes to the village. After she won the gold medal at the Paris Olympics, the village saw a steady increase in visitors. Many villagers seized the opportunity by setting up food stalls outside their homes, creating a unique food street. To better accommodate the influx of visitors, the village expanded its roads, and the overall appearance of the village has improved. Many villagers are also starting businesses or finding employment right in front of their homes.

Thanks to these collective efforts, the village has transformed. Recently, students and teachers from the Zhongge Art College of Guangdong Ocean University have been painting murals in the village. These murals include scenes from Quan Hongchan's diving moments, the diving platform, mangroves, chinese white dolphins, mazhang roast pig, Zhanjiang white-cut chickenand more, giving the village a fresh new look.

The villagers mentioned that during the Chinese New Year, maihe Village would also hold "Nianli", the traditional folk performance. Friends and family will gather to enjoy a grand feast.

It was also reported that on January 2nd, Quan Hongchan was named the Best Female Diver of the Year 2024 by FINA (now World Aquatics). The Chinese diving team will participate in the World Aquatics Diving World Cup in Mexico, canada, and the Super Final at Beijing's Water Cube, as well as the 2025 World Aquatics Championships in Singapore in July 2025.

全红婵回湛江老家过年了，全爸：给她杀只鸡、炒两个菜

1月26日，全红婵更新自己的社交媒体账号，发布了多张与家人的合照。不久后，网络上也流传出她骑电动车带姐妹在村里逛街的视频。1月27日，迈合村村干部全自华向记者证实，全红婵于26日中午已回到迈合村。

据报道，全红婵的父亲全文茂27日表示，女儿回家，全家人都非常开心，但并没有做太特别的准备，一切如往常一般，“都很正常，就杀只鸡，炒两个菜。”

值得一提的是，近日，全红婵哥哥全进华曾晒出全红婵给家人送的新年红包以及手写祝福，印有卡通图案的绿色红包上写道：“老哥，人生很短暂，一定要做自己喜欢的事情。”

全自华介绍，全红婵的家人都十分低调，对于她的回家，村里人虽然欢迎，但也没有举行特别的迎接仪式。在全红婵回家前，村内已组织工作人员在她家前方增设安全围栏，“可能会有较多游客去门口拍照，为避免拥堵，我们增加了安全围栏的宽度。”

全自华还提到，全红婵的关注度确实为村里带来了不少改变。全红婵巴黎奥运会夺冠后，迈合村客流量日益攀升，许多村民们敏锐地捕捉到了这一商机，在自家门口支起了各式各样的小吃摊，形成了一条别具特色的美食街。同时，为提高对游客的接待能力，村里的道路已经拓宽，村容村貌也发生不少变化，不少村民在家门口创业、就业。

如今，在各方努力下，村庄面貌焕然一新。近日，广东海洋大学中歌艺术学院的师生为迈合村进行墙绘工作，全红婵跳水时刻、跳台、红树林、中华白海豚、麻章烧猪、湛江白切鸡等墙绘作品让村庄有了新模样。

村民说，过年期间，迈合村也会有年例活动。届时亲朋好友欢聚一堂，品尝美食盛宴。

据了解，1月2日，全红婵获得世界泳联2024年度最佳女子跳水运动员。2025年中国跳水队将参加跳水世界杯墨西哥站、加拿大站和在北京水立方举行的世界杯超级总决赛，以及7月份在新加坡举行的世界锦标赛。
