On the afternoon of January 18th, the 2025 Lingnan New Year Food Carnival & 41st Chencun Flower Market opened beneath the world's largest tangerine tower. The opening ceremony also featured a charity auction for premium Nianju (New Year Tangerines). Chencun is renowned as the home of Nianju, and the "Chencun Nianju" is a national product of geographical indication in China. Each Nianju featured in the auction has been meticulously nurtured and crafted by local farmers.

In the auction's final tally, Dehexin Catering secured 38 pots of Nianju for 16,666 yuan, symbolizing good fortune in the Year of the Snake. Zhongyou Longqiao Fuel Co. from Shunde District, Foshan, purchased 68 pots for 28,888 yuan, signifying peace and joy; and Guangdong Shunjin New Materials Industrial Park claimed 88 pots for 39,999 yuan, representing prosperity. These Nianju will be donated to grassroots workers, new economy practitioners, and families in need as part of the charitable initiative.

In recent years, the Chencun Nianju industry has been upgraded towards premiumization, modernization, and standardization. Innovations in planting substrate technology and design initiatives have empowered the industry's growth.

This year's Chencun Flower Market blends tradition with modernity, featuring a ten-mile flower street with over 600 flower stalls and more than 200 food and New Year goods vendors. It also includes activities such as the Chencun flower banquet and immersive ancient-themed experiences, allowing residents to savor the flavors of Lingnan during the Chinese New Year celebrations.

As the birthplace of Lingnan culture, Foshan has organized over 700 cultural and tourism activities throughout the city this Spring Festival, including nine key events, 33 special activities, and numerous community-benefiting activities. These encompass flower markets, dragon and lion dance performances, and food carnivals, attracting residents and tourists from various regions to celebrate the Chinese New Year in Foshan, and showcasing the city's festive spirit and vibrant atmosphere in an all-round display.

佛山“陈村年桔”拍出最高价39999元！

1月18日下午，2025岭南年味美食嘉年华暨佛山陈村第41届迎春花市开幕式在世界最大桔塔下举行。与此同时，开幕式还举行了2025年精品年桔慈善拍卖。陈村是远近闻名的年桔故乡，“陈村年桔”是中国地理标志农产品，所有参与拍卖的年桔均是桔农精心孕育，精心设计打造的精品。

最终，德和信餐饮以16666元拍得38盆，寓意蛇年大吉；佛山市顺德区中油龙桥燃料以28888元拍得68盆，寓意平安喜乐；广东顺晋新材料产业园以39999元拍得88盆，寓意蒸蒸日上。这些年桔将用于慈善，送给基层工作者、新业态从业者及困难家庭。

近年来，陈村年桔产业向精品化、现代化、标准化升级，通过种植基质技术创新、造型设计等举措，赋能产业发展。

今年陈村花市融合传统与现代，创新打造十里花街，设有超600个花摊、超200个美食和年货摊位，还准备了陈村花宴、沉浸式古风体验等活动，让市民感受岭南年味。

佛山作为岭南文化发源地，今年春节期间，全市组织超700项文旅活动，包括9项重点、33项特色及众多惠民活动，涵盖花市、龙狮武术、美食嘉年华等，吸引各地市民和游客到佛山过年，全方位展示佛山的年味与烟火气 。
