One of the remarkable outcomes of the 2024 World Internet Conference was the release of the blue books, titled "China Internet Development Report 2024" and "World Internet Development Report 2024", which were compiled by the Chinese Academy of Cyberspace Studies on the morning of November 21st. Since 2017, these blue books have been consecutively published for eight years, presenting a comprehensive overview of the latest achievements and trends in the global development of the Internet. The report shows that with "The Three-Body Problem" and "Black Myth: Wukong" reaching overseas, China's digital culture is accelerating its global presence.
According to the "World Internet Development Report 2024," China ranks 2nd in the global internet development index. Specifically, it ranks 2nd in the digital economy, 5th in digital technology and innovation capabilities, 7th in information technology infrastructure, and 2nd in international governance of cyberspace. In the realm of the digital economy, during 2023, the added value of China's core industries surpassed 12 trillion yuan, accounting for approximately 10% of the GDP, and it is expected to achieve the goals of the "14th Five-Year Plan" ahead of schedule.
In digital culture, the industry is growing, offering a wider variety of products through more comprehensive dissemination channels. By December 2023, China's online audiovisual market reached 1.15 trillion yuan, Covering long and short videos, livestreaming, and audio. Many digital cultural works have won international recognition. Qian Xianliang, deputy dean of the Chinese Academy of Cyberspace Studies, said at the press conference that the Chinese 3A game "Black Myth: Wukong", based onthe Chinese novel "Journey to the West", shows unique Chinese aesthetics, with sales on Steam platform exceeding one billion US dollars. The science fiction drama "The Three-Body Problem" has reached over 190 countries and regions worldwide, becoming a model for Chinese IPs going global.
At "the Light of the Internet" Expo, the "Black Myth: Wukong" Exhibition area became a focal point. Visitor Mr. Jiang stated, "I came for this Chinese domestic game, and it feels fantastic!" The exhibition area also displayed a variety of peripheral products, attracting many visitors to experience them, thus demonstrating the strong appeal and innovative vitality of China's digital culture.

《三体》《黑神话:悟空》扬帆,中国数字文化踏浪出海
作为2024年世界互联网大会的重要成果之一,由中国网络空间研究院编写的《中国互联网发展报告2024》和《世界互联网发展报告2024》蓝皮书于11月21日上午正式发布。这套蓝皮书自2017年以来已连续八年发布,全面展现全球互联网发展的最新成就与趋势。报告指出,伴随着数字文化精品《三体》和《黑神话:悟空》扬帆出海,中国数字文化正加速走向世界舞台。
《世界互联网发展报告2024》显示,中国在全球互联网发展指数中排名第2。其中,数字经济排名第2,数字技术与创新能力排名第5,信息技术设施排名第7,网络空间国际治理排名第2。在数字经济领域,2023年中国核心产业增加值突破12万亿元,占GDP比重约10%,有望提前实现“十四五”规划目标。
而在数字文化方面,中国数字文化产业规模持续扩大,产品更加多元,传播渠道更为立体。截至2023年12月,中国网络视听市场规模达1.15万亿元,包括长视频、短视频、直播和音频等领域。多款数字文化精品打破界限,赢得国际认可。发布会上,中国网络空间研究院副院长钱贤良提到,国产3A游戏《黑神话:悟空》以《西游记》为题材,展现独特中式美学,Steam平台销售额已超10亿美元。科幻剧《三体》覆盖全球超190个国家和地区,成为中国IP出海典范。
在“互联网之光”博览会上,《黑神话:悟空》展区成为焦点。游客蒋先生表示:“就是为体验这款国产游戏来的,感觉非常棒!”展区还展示了多款周边产品,吸引大量观众驻足体验,展现了中国数字文化的强大吸引力与创新活力。
