On October 23rd, the Second phase of the 136th Canton Fair officially opened. Themed "Quality Home Living," this phase is divided into three sections: building materials and furniture, household items, and gifts and decorations, each reaching the scale of a major professional exhibition.
On the opening day, reporters visited the Canton Fair with great anticipation of discovering high-quality home products. They were impressed by the diversity and innovation of the exhibitors' offerings. In the hard decor category, there were products like photovoltaic-integrated building materials, thin electric radiant floor heating systems with integrated crack-resistant features, and photovoltaic curtain walls. The soft decor range was even more varied, featuring items such as smart voice-activated kitchen faucets, 3D-printed ceramic ornaments, handcrafted crystal incense containers favored by Middle Eastern elites, and automatic height-adjustable desks perfect for those with sedentary lifestyles. It is no exaggeration to say that the exhibited products in the second phase of the Canton Fair can help build an entire high-quality home.
To better meet the diverse needs for exquisite home products, the second phase features 15 exhibition areas. There are 24,739 booths and 10,040 exhibitors-220 more than the previous edition.
Each section has achieved the scale of a major professional exhibition, enhancing the appeal to buyers by offering a comprehensive display of the entire supply chain. This setup facilitates one-stop specialized purchasing, improves the efficiency of supplier-buyer matching, and promotes industry cooperation and development, creating more business opportunities.
Alongside its scale, the second phase places a special focus on high-quality specialized enterprises. More than 2,300 outstanding exhibitors, including "little giants" enterprises, national-level single-item manufacturing champions, and national high-tech enterprises, are participating, an increase of 872 compared to the last session.
Additionally, the quality of the online platform's display has significantly improved this year. As of October 21st, nearly 1.59 million products have been uploaded for the second phase, the highest among all phases. This includes 429,000 new products, 305,000 green and low-carbon products, and 48,000 smart products, all of which represent a notable increase from the previous edition.
On the import side, the second phase features 267 companies from 33 countries and regions, including 185 exhibitors from 22 Belt and Road Initiative countries, making up about 69% of the total. Exhibitor delegations from nine countries, including Thailand and Japan, showcased kitchenware, home goods, and gifts. Among them, several international brands brought exhibits that reflect distinctive local characteristics.
