According to China State Railway Group Co., Ltd., the newly constructed Meizhou West to Longchuan West section ("the Meilong section") of the Longyan to Longchuan high-speed rail, will officially begin operation on September 14th. With this, the travel time from Meizhou West to Longchuan West, Guangzhou East, and Shenzhen North stations will be reduced to as little as 29 minutes, one hour and 47 minutes, and one hour and 36 minutes, respectively. This new development will inject fresh momentum into integrating the revolutionary old areas of eastern Guangdong with the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Once operational, the Meilong section will support speeds of up to 350 kilometers per hour, with up to 62 high-speed trains running daily. Of these, 60 trains will operate between Meizhou West and Longchuan West, with the fastest journey taking only 29 minutes. Additionally, 30 trains will connect Meizhou West to Guangzhou East, and 26 will run between Meizhou West and Shenzhen North via the Meilong and Ganzhou-Shenzhen high-speed railway, cutting travel times to one hour and 47 minutes, and one hour and 36 minutes, respectively. This will significantly reduce the travel time between eastern Guangdong's revolutionary old areas and cities in the Greater Bay Area.

The Guangzhou Railway Group has announced that tickets for the Meilong section went on sale at 2:00 PM on September 12th. According to an official from the group's passenger transport department, the Meilong section will implement flexible discounts and a differentiated, market-oriented pricing system to cater to various passenger needs, offering travelers more options.

Upon reviewing available tickets, it was found that discounts are being offered on all current listings. For example, on September 15th, the G8458 train from Longchuan West to Meizhou West is priced at a 35% discount, with second-class tickets reduced to 46 yuan. Ticket sales have been brisk, and as of 7:30 PM on September 12th, several trains have already sold out.

With the opening of the Meilong section, it will form a circular high-speed rail network, connecting the Meizhou-Shantou high-speed rail, Ganzhou-Shenzhen high-speed rail, Xiamen-Shenzhen high-speed rail, and the Guangzhou-Shenzhen section of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed rail. The railway authorities have scheduled two circular high-speed trains to run from Guangzhou South to Guangzhou East, and two more from Shantou to Shantou, facilitating greater connectivity and economic interaction between cities along the route. This will further promote the coordinated development of the region's economy and society.

The circular high-speed train from Shantou to Shantou will officially begin operation on September 15th, with tickets already on sale. The train will pass through nine cities: Shantou, Shanwei, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Huizhou, Heyuan, Meizhou, Jieyang, and Chaozhou, weaving a tightly-knit and highly connected high-speed rail network throughout eastern Guangdong. This will make travel more convenient for passengers and provide a significant boost to the economic development of the region.

梅龙高铁明日开通运营

记者从国铁集团获悉，新建龙岩至龙川高铁梅州西至龙川西段（以下简称“龙龙高铁梅龙段”）将于9月14日开通运营，梅州西站至龙川西、广州东、深圳北站间最快29分钟、1小时47分钟、1小时36分钟可达，为粤东革命老区加速融入粤港澳大湾区注入新动能。

龙龙高铁梅龙段建成通车后，最高时速按350公里运营，每日开行动车组列车最高达62列。其中，在梅州西站至龙川西站间开行动车组列车60列，最快29分钟可达；经龙龙高铁梅龙段、赣州至深圳高铁，在梅州西站至广州东站、深圳北站间分别开行动车组列车30列、26列，最快分别1小时47分钟、1小时36分钟可达。梅州、龙川等粤东革命老区至粤港澳大湾区各城市间旅行时间大幅压缩。

记者从广铁集团获悉，龙龙高铁梅龙段车票自9月12日14时起已对外发售。据广铁集团客运部相关负责人介绍，为满足旅客不同出行需求，龙龙高铁梅龙段实施灵活折扣、差异化的市场化票价机制，为旅客出行提供更多选择。

记者查询发现，自12日14时开始售票后，目前在售车票均有折扣。9月15日从龙川西站出发到梅州西站，折扣最大的一趟列车为G8458次，打6.5折，二等票折后为46元。目前车票销售情况火热，截至12日19时30分，已有多趟列车车票售罄。

龙龙高铁梅龙段开通运营后，将与梅州至汕头高铁、赣州至深圳高铁、厦门至深圳高铁、广深港高铁广州至深圳段构成环线高铁，铁路部门将安排开行广州南站至广州东站、汕头站至汕头站各2列环线动车组列车，进一步促进沿线城市人员交流和经济互动，推动区域经济社会协调发展。

其中，汕头站至汕头站高铁环线列车将于9月15日正式开通运营。目前，列车车票已经开始售卖。列车穿行汕头、汕尾、深圳、东莞、惠州、河源、梅州、揭阳、潮州9个城市，在粤东大地上编织成一张紧密交织、四通八达、双向流动的高铁网络，旅客出行将更加便捷，也为粤东地区的经济发展插上了腾飞翅膀。
