As the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday approaches, several online travel platforms have released travel forecast reports, indicating that piecing together holidays for extending travel time is a highlight of this year's Mid-Autumn travel. Many tourists are extending the 3-day statutory holiday to 4-5 days or even longer. In terms of popular destinations, short-distance tours and "micro-vacations" to surrounding cities have become the mainstream choice, with several destinations within Guangdong Province being popular picks. It is worth noting that this travel type has led to an increase in bookings for high-evaluation Hotels and Homestays.

According to Fliggy's 2024 Mid-Autumn Festival Holiday Travel Trend Indicator, as of now, domestic hotel bookings for the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday have increased by about 50% compared to the same period in 2019, with high-evaluation hotels and boutique homestays accounting for 60% of the total bookings. This trend is most pronounced in urban circles such as Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Shanghai, Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Zhuhai, Beijing-Tianjin, and Chengdu-Chongqing. On the Fliggy platform, hotel bookings in popular tourist cities within Guangdong Province, such as Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Jieyang, and Shantou, have seen significant increases compared to the same period in 2019.#SplendidLingnan
