On August 28th, Air China and China Southern Airlines (CSN) simultaneously received their first C919 aircraft at the COMAC final assembly facility in Pudong, Shanghai, marking a new phase of multi-user operation for the C919.
Air China's first C919 is an extended-range version, featuring a 158-seat configuration with two classes, including 8 business class seats and 150 economy class seats. CSN's first C919 is a standard-range version with 164 seats divided into three classes, consisting of 8 business class seats, 18 premium economy class seats, and 138 economy class seats. Both aircraft have customized cabin seating and facilities, including sockets throughout the cabin, ensuring a convenient and comfortable experience for passengers.
According to CSN, its first C919 landed at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport on August 29th after operating a transfer flight, and a reception ceremony was held.
To date, a total of nine C919 aircraft have been delivered to clients. China Eastern Airlines, the first global operator of the C919, has seen C919's stable operation since its first commercial flight 15 months ago. The aircraft has been deployed on five regular routes, with over 3,600 commercial flights and 10,000 flight hours logged. According to data from Umetrip, the C919 has served over 480,000 passengers as of August 27th, 2024.
China Eastern Airlines currently operates seven C919 aircraft, servicing five regular routes: Shanghai Hongqiao—Chengdu Tianfu, Shanghai Hongqiao—Beijing Daxing, Shanghai Hongqiao—Xi'an Xianyang, Shanghai Hongqiao—Guangzhou Baiyun, and Xi'an Xianyang—Beijing Daxing. With more C919 aircraft joining, China Eastern Airlines plans to add new routes, including Wuhan and Shenzhen as destinations. Performance evaluations for routes such as Shanghai to Kunming and Shanghai to Lanzhou have begun, in preparation for the technical analysis of future high-plateau route operations.
南航首架C919飞机今日飞抵广州白云机场
8月28日,中国国际航空公司(以下简称“国航”)和中国南方航空公司(以下简称“南航”)在中国商飞总装制造中心浦东基地同时接收首架C919飞机,标志着C919飞机即将开启多用户运营新阶段。
国航C919首架机为延程型,采用158座两舱布局,包含8个公务舱和150个经济舱。南航C919首架机为标准航程型,采用164座三舱布局,包含8个公务舱、18个明珠经济舱和138个经济舱。两架飞机均装配了定制化的客舱座椅等设施设备,全舱配置个人充电接口,为乘客提供便捷舒适的乘机体验。
记者从南航获悉,其接收的首架C919飞机,于8月29日上午执行调机航班飞抵广州白云国际机场,并举行接机仪式。
截至目前,共有9架C919飞机交付客户。其中,中国东方航空公司的C919飞机自商业首航以来,已连续平稳运行15个月,执飞5条定期航线,累计执行商业航班超3600班次,飞行1万小时。航旅纵横大数据显示,截至2024年8月27日,C919商业首航以来累计旅客运输量已经超过48万人次。
作为全球首家C919用户的东航,目前已拥有7架C919飞机,共执飞上海虹桥—成都天府、上海虹桥—北京大兴、上海虹桥—西安咸阳、上海虹桥—广州白云、西安咸阳—北京大兴5条定期航线。随着更多C919入列,东航计划考虑新增武汉、深圳等C919运营航线,并启动上海至昆明、上海至兰州航线的性能评估工作,为后续运营高原航线可行性做好技术分析准备。
