On the evening of May 11th, the inaugural flight CZ8031 of the Shenzhen-Mexico City route operated by China Southern Airlines took off from Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, marking the official opening of China's first direct passenger route to Latin America.

The route spans over 14,000 kilometers with a flight time of approximately 16 hours. According to public data, not only does this route break China's record for the longest direct international flight, but it also ranks among the top ten longest direct flight routes globally.

China Southern Airlines' Shenzhen-Mexico City route operates twice a week, serviced by the Airbus A350 wide-body aircraft. The outbound flight CZ8031 operates every Tuesday and Saturday, departing from Shenzhen at 21:00 Beijing time and arriving in Mexico City at 23:00 local time. The return flight CZ8032 operates every Wednesday and Sunday, departing from Mexico City at 01:00 local time with a technical stopover in Tijuana and arriving in Shenzhen at 12:20 Beijing time the next day.

The opening of this direct route enhances the efficiency and convenience of travel between China and Latin America. Previously, passengers traveling from China to Mexico or other Latin American countries often had to make one or two stopovers in Japan, the Republic of Korea, North America, Europe, or the Middle East, with some transit points requiring transit visas and travel times of up to 30-40 hours. With the opening of this route, travel time from China to Mexico City is reduced to just 16 hours.

Furthermore, China Southern Airlines has signed aviation cooperation agreements with airlines such as Aeromexico, allowing for seamless connections not only to major cities within Mexico (such as Monterrey and Cancun) but also to more South American cities in high demand by Chinese travelers (such as Sao Paulo in Brazil, Buenos Aires in Argentina, and Lima in Peru), thus reducing travel distance and time for those traveling to Antarctica. Additionally, this route provides more convenience for travelers commuting between Latin America and Asian cities such as Singapore, Bangkok, and Seoul.

The Shenzhen-Mexico City route is currently China Southern Airlines' third intercontinental route operated in Shenzhen. Presently, China Southern Airlines operates 13 international and regional routes from Shenzhen, including three intercontinental routes to Mexico City, Sydney, and Moscow, as well as ten routes within Asia to destinations such as Dubai, Seoul, Singapore, Bangkok, and Taipei.

深圳—墨西哥城，我国民航最长直飞国际客运航线开通

5月11日晚，南方航空深圳—墨西哥城航线的首航航班CZ8031从深圳宝安国际机场起飞，标志着中国首条直飞拉丁美洲的客运航线正式开通。

该航线全长超过14000公里，飞行时间约16小时，根据公开数据分析，该航线不仅刷新了中国最长直飞国际航线的纪录，也是全球航距最长的十条直飞航线之一。

据悉，南方航空深圳—墨西哥城航线每周两班，由“墨镜侠”空客A350宽体机执飞。去程CZ8031每周二、周六执行，于北京时间21:00从深圳起飞，当地时间23:00抵达墨西哥城。回程CZ8032每周三、周日执行，于当地时间凌晨01:00从墨西哥城起飞，中途技术经停蒂华纳，于北京时间次日12:20到达深圳。

直飞航线的开通使中国与拉丁美洲之间的往来更加高效便捷。此前，旅客从国内飞往墨西哥或其他拉丁美洲国家，通常要在日韩、北美、欧洲、中东等地进行一到两次中转，部分中转地需过境签证，行程时间长达30-40小时。航线开通后，直飞墨西哥城只需16小时，大大缩短了行程时间。

此外，南方航空已与墨西哥航空等航空公司签订了航空合作协议，通过中转联程，不仅可以通达墨西哥境内的主要城市（如蒙特雷、坎昆等），还可辐射至更多中国旅客需求大的南美洲国家城市（如巴西的圣保罗、阿根廷的布宜诺斯艾利斯、秘鲁的利马等），并将为前往南极旅行的旅客节省路程和时间。同时，该航线也为拉丁美洲经中国往返新加坡、曼谷、首尔等亚洲城市的旅客提供了更多便利。

据介绍，深圳—墨西哥城航线是目前南航在深圳运营的第三条洲际航线。目前，南航在深圳已开通13条国际及地区航线，其中包括深圳至墨西哥城、悉尼、莫斯科3条洲际航线，以及迪拜、首尔、新加坡、曼谷、台北等10条亚洲内的国际及地区航线。
