Starting from March 14th, China has implemented a visa-free policy for ordinary passport holders from Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, and Luxembourg.

At 1:55 AM on the same day, Szabo Tamas from Hungary arrived in Guangzhou aboard flight 9C7420, becoming one of the first travelers to benefit from this new policy.

"This is really great news," said Tamas excitedly. He plans to visit attractions like Haixinsha Island and Yongqingfang during his stay in Guangzhou, eagerly anticipating his trip.

Data from the Baiyun Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection shows that since December 2023, when China unilaterally implemented a visa-free policy for citizens holding ordinary passports from five European countries including France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Spain, up to March 14th, nearly 18,000 people from these countries have entered China through the Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, marking a 6.7% increase compared to previous periods. Among them, nearly 10,000 people have enjoyed the visa-free policy, accounting for 53.4% of the total number of inbound travelers from these countries.

In Southeast Asia, China has also implemented reciprocal visa-free policies with Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand, further facilitating visits, trade, and investment.

Since the beginning of this year, the Baiyun Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection has handled over 142,000 inbound and outbound travelers between China and Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand, a more than tenfold increase compared to the same period last year. Among them, nearly 54,000 people have entered China with ordinary passports and enjoyed visa-free entry, accounting for nearly 75% of the total.

中国对瑞士等六国试行免签，广州口岸迎来首批入境旅客

3月14日起，我国对瑞士、爱尔兰、匈牙利、奥地利、比利时、卢森堡6国持普通护照人员试行免签政策。

当天凌晨1时55分，来自匈牙利的旅客SZABO TAMAS搭乘9C7420航班抵达广州，成为享受该项新政的首批旅客之一。

“这真是个好消息。”TAMAS兴奋地说道。他计划在广州游览海心沙、永庆坊等景点，对此行充满期待。

白云出入境边防检查站数据显示，在2023年12月对法国、德国、意大利、荷兰、西班牙5个欧洲国家持普通护照人员试行单方面免签政策之后，截至3月14日0时，共有近1.8万人次相关国家人员自广州白云机场口岸入境，环比上升约6.7%。其中，近1万人次享受免签政策，占相关国家入境总人数的53.4%。

在东南亚方面，中国与马来西亚、新加坡、泰国互免政策相继落地生效，进一步便利人员往来、经贸投资。

今年以来，白云出入境边防检查站累计查验往来“新马泰”出入境人员14.2万余人次，同比增长超10倍，其中持普通护照免签入境近5.4万人次，占比近75%。
