On January 19th, the launching ceremony of a series of cultural and tourism activities themed "Celebrating the Spring Festival in Guangdong" was held in Liwan District, Guangzhou. During the ceremony, the ten major initiatives to boost cultural and tourism consumption in 2024 were officially announced:
"Celebrating the Spring Festival in Guangdong"
There are rich and diverse cultural tourism events featuring theme activities such as the National Grand Parade of Dragon Dance. Eight themed tourism activities will be introduced to tourists, including strolling through flower streets, watching grand operas, visiting amusement parks, enjoying coastal scenery, appreciating folk customs, savoring local delicacies, basking in the warm sunshine, and relaxing in hot springs.
"Self-drive tour in beautiful countryside"
With a focus on rural tourism, ecological wellness tourism, and folk culture tourism, more high-quality rural tourism products will be provided for "two-day-one-night" or "three-day-two-night" stays. This initiative aims to promote rural micro-tours and self-drive tours, attracting approximately 150 million self-driving vehicles to rural areas and scenic spots.
"Cultural and tourism subsidies for public"
The Guangdong Cultural and Tourism Consumption Season will be launched, providing subsidies for cultural and tourism consumption throughout the year. This initiative aims to expand the sales channels of cultural and tourism products and stimulate public consumption. The fifth Intangible Cultural Heritage Shopping Festival will be held, offering a series of subsidized and people-friendly intangible cultural heritage products.
"Exploring the fascinating Guangdong"
The Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangdong Province, in collaboration with China Southern Airlines, will launch a campaign that introduces ticket packages and surprise flight tickets, combined with tourist group coupons and flight ticket discounts, to attract visitors to Guangdong and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. During peak periods, a special cultural and tourism consumption event will be held in collaboration with WeChat Pay.
"Ticket reductions for tourists"
A-level tourist attractions, provincial-level tourist resorts, and other operating entities will offer discounts, joint tickets, and 2 million tickets with reduced prices. In addition to the above, 20,000 rooms at preferential prices in star-rated hotels and registered B&B hotels will be provided, along with a subsidy of 50-100 yuan per room per night.
"Colorful and romantic waterway tours"
Efforts will be made to develop high-quality waterway routes, with a focus on loop tours around Guangzhou's Pearl River, sea tours of the Greater Bay Area, water town tours, day trips along the Beijiang River, and night tours along the Xiajiang River.
"Artistic performances enrich the experience"
To further enrich the tourism offerings, provincial and municipal art troupes will select high-quality cultural and artistic programs suitable for tourists and jointly organize 1,000 professional performances in scenic areas.
"Exploring Guangdong's culinary delights"
Under the theme of "New Trends in Cantonese Cuisine", a batch of new cultural and tourism consumption scenes will be developed, offering unique culinary experiences with Lingnan characteristics. A series of cultural and tourism promotion activities featuring distinctive culinary IPs will be organized to enhance the reputation of Guangdong as a gastronomic paradise.
"Study tours in Greater Bay Area"
Study tours for 10,000 young people from Hong Kong and Macau in the Greater Bay Area will be provided, allowing them to understand the Lingnan culture, build awareness of the GBA development, and appreciate traditional culture, thus gaining deeper insights into GBA.
"Vibrant Guangdong for inbound tourism"
Based on policies such as the "Northbound Travel for Hong Kong and Macao Vehicles Scheme" and the 144-hour Visa Free Transit, Guangdong will collaborate with Hong Kong and Macau to promote overseas tourism with the concept of "one journey to multiple destinations." With unilateral visa exemption policies from countries such as France and Germany, the province also actively participates in tourism exhibitions and engages in cultural and tourism exchanges and cooperation with other key source countries and regions.

1月19日,“请到广东过大年”春节文旅系列活动启动仪式在广州市荔湾区举行。启动仪式上,2024年十大促文旅消费举措正式发布:
“请到广东过大年”
组织丰富多彩的“文旅大餐”,举办“舞动中国龙——龙舞大巡游全国主会场活动”等主题活动,向全国游客推出逛花街、看大戏、乐游园、戏海浪、赏民俗、品美食、享暖阳、泡温泉等八大主题旅游活动。
“美丽乡村自驾游”
重点围绕乡村旅游、生态康养旅游、民俗文化旅游等主题,提供更多“两天一宿”“三天两宿”优质乡村旅游产品,推动乡村微度假、自驾游发展,推动约1.5亿辆次自驾车进乡村、景区。
“文旅补贴惠民游”
开展广东文旅消费季惠民补贴活动,贯穿全年发放文旅消费惠民补贴,拓宽文旅产品销售渠道,激发公众消费热情。举办第五届非遗购物节,推出一系列惠民利民的非遗产品。
“畅游广东粤好玩”
省文化和旅游厅与南方航空公司联合开展“粤好玩·畅游广东”活动,推出畅游广东套票、粤好玩惊喜机票等产品,叠加来粤旅行团优惠券补贴、机票优惠券等“惠民礼包”,引客入粤入湾区。在旅游高峰时段,联合微信支付开展“粤消费粤精彩”文旅专场惠民活动。
“门票减免惠游人”
组织A级旅游景区、省级以上旅游度假区等经营主体推出折扣票、联游票、减免票200万张。在原有平台优惠的基础上,再提供2万间/夜星级饭店和已登记旅游民宿优惠客房,再给予每间/夜50-100元消费补贴。
“缤纷浪漫水系游”
大力发展水系旅游精品航线,重点打造广州珠江环线游、湾区海上游、梦里水乡游、北江日游和峡江夜游等复合型水上游线路。
“文艺演出添姿彩”
进一步丰富景区业态,组织省市文艺院团,组成文艺“轻骑兵”,选取适合旅游观赏的优质文艺节目,共同开展1000场专业文艺院团进景区演出活动。
“食在广东‘寻味’游”
以“粤式新潮流”为主题,培育一批具有岭南特色美食体验的文旅消费新场景。举办以特色美食IP为主题的系列文化和旅游消费促进活动,进一步擦亮“食在广东”金字招牌。
“湾区同心研学游”
组织开展万名港澳青年湾区研学游,搭建港澳青少年认知湾区建设、了解岭南文化、认同传统文化的活动平台。推动万名广东青少年游港澳,让广东青少年对港澳有更深入的了解。
“活力广东入境游”
加大“活力广东时尚湾区”品牌推广力度。用好港车北上、澳车北上、144小时便利签证等政策措施,联合港澳开展境外“一程多站”旅游推介,引客入粤入湾区。配合国家对法国、德国等国家单方面免签政策,积极赴重点客源国家和地区参加旅游展会、开展文旅交流合作。
