On the first day of the New Year's Day holiday (December 30), countryside tours in Guangzhou continued to be popular, with various districts offering a series of festive-themed activities. Many local residents and tourists chose to drive to popular rural attractions to soak in hot springs, enjoy folk customs, engage in interesting study tours, and participate in joyful year-end activities.

During the holiday period, events such as the electronic music festival in the ecological design town of Conghua, the "Candy Transformation Show" at the Golden Leaf Hot Spring Resort in Zengcheng, and the inaugural Hundred-Day Hiking and Camping Festival at the Baijiang Lake Forest Park in Zengcheng attracted enthusiastic participation from young visitors. These activities provided an opportunity to enjoy hot springs, release stress, and indulge in a variety of immersive experiences.

In addition, the first Hydrangea Culture Festival at the Million Sunflower Garden in Nansha allowed visitors to enjoy the beauty of spring in a one-stop fashion. Various scenic spots, including scented petals falling onto river inXiangxue,maples in Shimen, plum blossoms in Nanshan, and themaple scenic spot, became popular destinations for photography.

During the New Year's Day holiday, the Tianren Mountain Water Resort hosted a Creek Valley Concert & New Year's Eve Fireworks Extravaganza, while Guangzhou Sunac Land launched the Season of Light and Shadow Night Tour to welcome the new year. The highly anticipated annual New Year's themed fireworks show promised to be a spectacular immersive experience for visitors.

Other highlights included the 1978 New Year Carnival at the 1978 Cultural and Creative Park, a fireworks show at the Zengcheng Forest Sea Hot Spring Resort, and the Lucky Koi Rock, Koi Tumbler, and Dongpo Poetry Gathering folk culture-themed activities at Panyu Baomo Garden. These events blended traditional folk customs with contemporary trends, providing visitors with a unique way to usher in the new year.

The Shawan Ancient Town introduced the "Shawan Ancient Town FolkCulture - 2024 Silver Celebration Cultural Season," combining Shawan's intangible cultural heritage to offer visitors an immersive experience of folk culture.

Various cultural and artistic exhibitions, performances, and activities were organized across different venues, including the Mingzhu Ancient Porcelain Specimen Museum, Nansha Tianhou Palace, and Lingnan Impression Park, creating a rich cultural feast showcasing traditional and contemporary elements.

The Maofeng Mountain Science Popularization Exhibition Hall offered hands-on experiences of intangible cultural heritage crafts, attracting many families to participate. The Nansha Urban Agricultural Experimental Garden (Nansha Mingzhu Agricultural Park) planned a series of one-day study and experience camp activities.

The Nansha Wetland scenic area, utilizing its unique hiking paths, presented spring greetings to visitors through activities such aswriting Spring Festival coupletsandtaking photos at hiking points, allowing guests to embrace nature and receive abundant New Year blessings. Huadu District hosted the sixth Taro Festival, featuring cultural and tourism activities.

元旦假期首日乐享广州乡村游

元旦假期首日（12月30日），广州乡村游持续火爆，各区推出一系列节庆主题活动，不少市民游客选择自驾前往周边乡村热门景点泡温泉、赏民俗、趣研学，一起欢乐打卡、趣味跨年。

节日期间，从化生态设计小镇的电音节、增城金叶子温泉度假酒店的“糖果变装秀”网红打卡备受年轻游客欢迎，享受温泉度假的同时，可释放压力、放飞自我。

增城区白江湖森林公园景区举办的首届百日徒步露营节，带领游客深度体验白江湖徒步、露营生态旅游的魅力。

此外，来南沙百万葵园第一届绣球花文化节，可“一站式尽享春日美景”。流溪香雪、石门红叶各自迎来最佳观赏期，南山梅园景区梅花绽放，暗香沁人，枫林红叶景区枫香树林如诗如画，成为拍照打卡的热门去处。

元旦假期，天人山水度假区推出溪谷音乐会&跨年烟花盛演，广州融创乐园推出光影夜游季迎新活动，其中一年一度的新年主题烟花秀最值得期待，为游客打造一场精彩纷呈的沉浸式光影大赏。

1978文化创意园推出1978渣马角元旦欢乐园，增城森林海温泉度假酒店安排花火大会，推出冬日海鲜小火锅。

番禺宝墨园推出幸运锦鲤摇、锦鲤不倒翁、东坡诗会等民俗文化主题活动，将传统民俗与国潮风尚等跨界融合，游客可与锦鲤仙子携手奔赴新年。

沙湾古镇景区推出“沙湾古镇有喜——2024捧银喜事文化季”，融合沙湾非遗文化，给游客带来沉浸式的民俗文化体验。

明珠古瓷标本博物馆策划了“瓷器之美”——文创艺术品展，南沙天后宫将举办2024年南沙湾新禧村晚，通过多种形式的联欢汇演展现南沙传统文化、民间文艺及乡村文化新风貌。岭南印象园策划“国风艺术嘉年华”，用醒狮表演、快闪巡游、Live音乐会、南国奇遇夜等活动带来一场岭南文化盛宴。

元旦期间，帽峰山科普展馆推出体验非遗手艺研学活动，吸引诸多亲子家庭前来体验。南沙都市农业实验园（南沙明珠农业公园）策划了一日研学体验营系列活动。

南沙湿地景区结合独有的徒步路径，以挥春赠游客、打卡徒步点等形式，让游客在亲近大自然的同时，收获浓浓的新年祝福。花都区举办第六届炭步芋头节文化旅游系列活动。
