As of December 19th, five days after the transfer, the owner who made this mistaken payment has not yet appeared. Du has been urgently searching for the owner throughout Guangzhou. On the same day, after the relevant report was published by Yangcheng Evening News, the owner contacted the taxi company that night.
On December 20th at noon, after carefully verifying the payment amount, payment recipient, payment platform and travel time, taxi driver Du returned 170,000 yuan to the passenger as promised. "The amount is so large that I could only transfer it to the passenger three times to return it," said Du Lipeng. "I feel at ease when the amount is returned in full." After confirming the receipt of the payment, the passenger gave a thumbs up to Du for his honesty.
Du said, "When I saw such a large amount of the payment, I could not believe it at first and counted again. It was true. I immediately reported to the police and my company." It is reported that Du Lipeng rarely uses Alipay to receive payments and has not set up an audial payment notification. On that day, only one female passenger used Alipay for payment, so he quickly thought of her.

12月14日凌晨,广州如约出行集团白云出租车司机杜利朋打开支付宝查看营运明细,忽然发现自己收到一笔17万元巨额转账。截至12月19日,事发已有5天,当事失主仍未出现,广州“的哥”杜利朋全城急寻失主。当天,羊城晚报相关报道发布后,失主当晚已经联系上出租车公司。
12月20日中午,经过仔细核对支付金额、支付对象、支付路径和乘车时间后,广州如约出行集团白云出租车司机杜利朋将17万元如数退还给乘客,“金额太大,分三笔转给乘客”,杜利朋说,“金额如数退还心里就踏实了”。乘客确认收款后,为杜利朋拾金不昧的精神竖起了大拇指。
杜利朋表示:“当时看到这么大的金额,我第一次不敢确认,然后又数了一遍,确实有这么多。我就立即报警,再给公司报备。”据悉,杜利朋平常很少用支付宝收款,也没有设置收款提示。当天营运时只有那位女乘客用支付宝付款,所以很快便想到了她。
究竟如何联系上乘客?如约出行集团白云三分公司党支部书记黄勇说:“司机当时发现多收了钱,报备回公司,我们给支付宝客服打了电话,并在支付宝平台上给乘客留下了司机电话,但是好几天都未联系上失主,所以最后通过媒体发布寻人信息。失主的朋友将新闻转发给失主,失主确认后,在19日晚上就通过我们留下的联系方式找到我们了。”

乘客在出租车上遗失钱财和物品的事件时有发生。黄勇提醒,乘客下车时一定要拿车票,车票有车牌和乘车记录。“如果乘客没有拿车票的习惯,可以通过‘如约出行’小程序叫车。乘客用电话号码注册之后,出租车公司在平台上可以看到乘客联系方式,遇到类似事件就可以第一时间联系到失主。”
