On June 5th, a significant achievement was obtained as the Huangmaohai Cross-sea Bridge's piers with transition and auxiliary functions on its west side, also known as the controlling project, were successfully cast after day-and-night efforts of 36 hours.
This signifies the completion of all 23 full-span TY-type piers in the project, making it a pioneering highway bridge project in China to introduce such types of piers.
Except for the Huangmaohai Cross-sea Bridge, the same types of piers in auxiliary and transition use and as approach trestles also can be seen in the construction of Gaolan Port Bridge, with a maximum height of 60 meters and a beam length of 37.4 meters, little seen in the bridge construction.
"Compared to the segmental piers, full-span TY-type piers help to reduce the required amount of pile foundation and pier bodies, significantly enhances the anti-collision ability for ships and maintains a consistent design style with the main tower 'Little Waist on the sea', which can achieve an aesthetically pleasing and stable effect," according to Zhu Chao, chief engineer of the Management Center of Huangmaohai Cross-sea Channel.
Currently, Huangmaohai Cross-sea Channel has embarked on a new phase of building the upper structure of its main bridge, with its steel box girder for closure segment scheduled to be completed in April 2024. The Xiangshan Tunnel in Fujian province has excavated a cumulative length of 3,150 meters, which represents approximately 97.52% of its total designed length. It is expected to achieve a full breakthrough in August 2023 and to be available for traffic by the end of 2024.
Upon completion, Huangmaohai Cross-sea Channels will join forces with the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge, Nansha Bridge and Humen Bridge to create a world-class hub for transportation in the GBA area.
黄茅海跨海通道整幅式TY型桥墩全部完工
7月5日,经过36个小时日夜奋战,黄茅海跨海通道项目控制性工程——黄茅海大桥西侧过渡墩、辅助墩顺利浇筑完成,标志着项目23个整幅式TY形桥墩全部完工,这也是整幅式TY形桥墩在我国高速公路桥梁中的首次应用。
黄茅海大桥和高栏港大桥的辅助墩与过渡墩以及中引桥桥墩均采用整幅式TY形桥墩,最大高度达60米,盖梁长度均为37.4米,在桥梁建造领域较为少见。
“相对于分幅式桥墩,采用整幅式TY形桥墩不仅减少了桩基和墩身数量,显著提升了桥墩的防船撞能力,还保持了与‘海上小蛮腰’主塔一致的设计风格,可达到美观稳定的效果。”黄茅海跨海通道管理中心总工程师朱超介绍。
目前,黄茅海跨海通道已开启主桥上部结构施工新篇章,预计2024年4月完成主桥钢箱梁合龙。象山隧道已累计掘进3150米,占设计总长度的97.52%左右,预计今年8月贯通,项目预计2024年年底建成通车。
建成后,黄茅海跨海通道将与港珠澳大桥、深中通道、南沙大桥、虎门大桥,共同助力粤港澳大湾区早日形成世界级交通枢纽。
