Today marks the 26th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland. Starting from midnight, the "Northbound Travel for Hong Kong Vehicles" policy has been implemented, allowing eligible Hong Kong vehicle owners to drive through the Zhuhai port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) without the need to obtain regular quotas and enter Guangdong after making an appointment with the Hong Kong authorities.
At 00:09 on July 1st, a Hong Kong vehicle with the license plate number of "LL7999" passed the inspection and entered the mainland. This is the first Hong Kong single-plate car to be cleared for entry after the implementation of the policy. It is estimated that about 450,000 Hong Kong vehicle owners will benefit from this policy.
The owner of the car, Mr. Li, from Hong Kong, was among the first to seize the opportunity. He said, "After the new policy came into effect, it has become much more convenient for us to travel from Hong Kong to the mainland, giving everyone more opportunities to learn about the mainland's development." He plans to stay in Zhuhai for two days, not only to visit friends but also to explore new development opportunities.
Gao Yang, Deputy Chief of Customs at the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, stated that after the implementation of the policy, the number of open lanes at the road port of the bridge can reach up to 48. Registered drivers can use the "one-stop" system for fast customs clearance.
As early as January 1st this year, the "Northbound Travel for Macao Vehicles" policy was implemented. As of June 24th, the total number of customs clearances for Macao vehicles heading north has exceeded 380,000.
Shenzhen's commercial parking lots are undergoing system upgrades to enable automatic recognition of Hong Kong and Macao license plates. As of June 25th, 10 parking lots in the city, with around 7,000 parking spaces, have completed the transformation.
The Zhuhai port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge is the only channel for cars from Hong Kong and Macao to enter and exit the mainland, making the city the "first stop" for these coming cars.
Huang Zhihao, Deputy Secretary of the Zhuhai Municipal CPC Committee and Mayor of Zhuhai City, pointed out that efforts should be made to connect more cars from Hong Kong and Macao to a broader space through Zhuhai. He emphasized the need to seize opportunities and work together to build a new economic and trade passage for the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge.
首辆香港单牌车经港珠澳大桥珠海公路口岸驶入广东
今天是香港回归祖国26周年纪念日。零时起,“港车北上”政策落地实施,符合条件的香港机动车车主在港方预约通关获准后,就可以驾车经港珠澳大桥珠海公路口岸驶入广东。
7月1日0时09分,一辆牌号为“LL7999”的香港机动车经查验后顺利入境。这是“港车北上”政策实施后,验放入境的首辆香港单牌车。“港车北上”实施后,预计约有45万名香港机动车车主享受到这一政策红利。
抢饮“头啖汤”的车主是来自香港的李先生。“新政策落地后,我们从香港来内地方便了很多,让大家有更多机会了解内地发展。”他计划在珠海停留两天,除了拜访朋友,还想寻找发展新机遇。
港珠澳大桥海关副关长高杨介绍说,“港车北上”落地实施后,港珠澳大桥公路口岸开放车道数量最多可达48条,经过备案的司机可以使用“一站式”系统快速通关。
早在今年1月1日,“澳车北上”政策已落地实施。截至6月24日,“澳车北上”通关总量已超38万辆次。
深圳市经营性停车场正积极开展系统改造升级,自动识别港澳车牌。截至6月25日,该市已有10个停车场约7000个停车位完成改造。
港珠澳大桥珠海公路口岸是“港车”“澳车”进出内地的唯一通道,珠海成为“澳车北上”“港车北上”的“首站”。
珠海市委副书记、市长黄志豪指出,要让更多“港车”“澳车”通过珠海连接更广阔的空间,要进一步抢抓机遇,携手共建港珠澳大桥经贸新通道。
