On May 20, "Tea for Harmony – Yaji Cultural Salon", an event for Guangdong intangible heritage culture and tourism exchanges, was held successfully at the China Cultural Center in Singapore, a day before the 4th International Tea Day.
With an aim to promote "traditional Chinese tea-making techniques and related customs", the event has fully displayed Chinese tea culture and enhanced the exchanges in culture and tourism as well as the friendship between China and Singapore.
A Full Display of Guangdong’s Tea Culture
On the first floor of the China Cultural Center in Singapore, an exhibition was held to display pictures of related intangible cultural heritage projects such as the traditional techniques of tea making, the tea set manufacturing, and the tea ceremony in Guangdong province.
The "Tea for Harmony" section of the exhibition displayed the making techniques of a variety of teas in Guangdong such as Dancong(single bush) tea from Chaozhou, black tea from Yingde and tribute tea from Kanghe and more.

A Wonderful Show about the Charming Tea from southern Guangdong
In the afternoon, a number of inheritors of intangible cultural heritage from Guangdong put on a tea culture show with a unique Lingnan style for the guests.
Luming, a song co-performed by Xie Dongxiao and Yao Nan, representative inheritors of Chinese Guqin (the Lingnan School), marked the beginning of the show. Accompanied by the quaint but vivid melody, the guests were able to enjoy the beauty of music and understand the importance of harmony.
The next piece of music drew the attention of the audience to the fragrance performance by Xie Jinglan, the inheritor of agarwood-making craft of Aquilaria sinensis. Surrounded by the fragrant atmosphere, the audience were able to plunge into meditation and adjust their states of mind.
Finally, there was the performance of gongfu tea ceremony by Ye Qingqing, the representative inheritor in Chaozhou. Through 21 steps, a cup of high-quality Dancong tea was served by the performer.
An Innovative Promotion for Culture and Tourism
Besides the above performances, there were also exhibitions, workshop experiencing programs and activities such as promotional videos playing, brochures and souvenirs delivering and lectures holding during the event to popularize Guangdong’s unique tourism resources.
茶和天下,粤韵雅集:中国广东非遗文化和旅游交流活动在新加坡成功举办
5月20日,在第四个“国际茶日”来临之际,“茶和天下·粤韵雅集”——中国广东非遗文化和旅游交流活动,在新加坡中国文化中心成功举办。
本次活动以茶为媒,持续推广“中国传统制茶技艺及其相关习俗”,充分展示中国茶文化,促进中国与新加坡的文化和旅游交流,增进两国人民的友谊。
茶和天下 荟萃广东香茗文化
在新加坡中国文化中心一楼,活动围绕广东省传统制茶技艺、茶具制作、茶艺等相关非遗项目,策划非遗图文展览。
其中,“茶和天下”板块展示了潮州单丛茶制作技艺、英德红茶制作技艺、康禾贡茶制作技艺、玉湖炒茶制作技艺以及罗氏柑普茶制作技艺。
“粤韵雅集”板块既有枫溪手拉朱泥壶制作技艺、潮州炭炉制作技艺、光德陶瓷烧制技艺的茶器制作相关技艺展示,又有涵盖潮州工夫茶艺、古琴艺术(岭南派)、莞香制作技艺的茶文化礼俗展示。
粤韵雅集 演绎南粤茶香风韵
20日下午,来自广东的多位非遗传承人为现场嘉宾奉上一场独具岭南特色的茶文化展演。
雅集展演以古琴艺术(岭南派)代表性传承人谢东笑和姚南合作演绎的弦歌《鹿鸣》开场。随后两人演绎琴曲《南风畅》。在古朴、刚健、爽朗、明快的琴韵当中,嘉宾感受自然,体悟和美、畅达之道。
接着,一曲《碧涧流泉》,将观众的目光引向制作技艺传承人谢静兰带来的莞香香道表演。听琴品香,在氤氲芳香环绕的气息里,调整身心,凝神静思。
一曲《喜园中茶生》,又带出潮州工夫茶艺代表性传承人叶青青的潮州工夫茶艺表演,经过二十一道工夫,奉上一盏上好潮州单丛茶。
以茶为媒 文旅融合创新推介
本次“茶和天下·粤韵雅集”——中国广东非遗文化和旅游交流活动,除举行潮州功夫茶、岭南古琴艺术、莞香香道雅集展演,非遗工坊体验活动及非遗文化和旅游展览外,还通过播放宣传片、发放宣传资料及纪念品、举办讲座等形式进行广东特色旅游资源推介。
