On the afternoon of May 17th, the "Overseas Youth Development" sub-conference of the 2023 Overseas Chinese Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Conference was held in Jiangmen, Guangdong. Under the theme of "Gathering Youth Overseas Chinese in the GBA, Realizing the Chinese Dream", over 100 delegates and representatives of young overseas Chinese from countries and regions including China, New Zealand, Singapore and more attended the conference.

During the keynote speeches, the head of the Chinese Overseas Chinese Research Institute pointed out, "The new journey provides a broad stage for young overseas Chinese, and high-quality development offers them more choices. With their sense of the times and abundant energy, young overseas Chinese can surely make significant contributions."

Li Shengpo, a Hong Kong deputy to the National People's Congress, a member of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of Xinyi Energy, said, "Young overseas Chinese have a natural advantage in serving as 'super connectors' between the motherland and the world. They should be participants, promoters, and propagators of the country's development." He added, "The GBA has obvious comprehensive advantages and a strong industrial foundation. It will undoubtedly become an important engine driving global economic development and a significant platform for Chinese enterprises to expand overseas and attract foreign investment, gathering wisdom from across the country."

Chen Shan, President of the Greater Bay Area Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubation Base in Guangdong, said, "We have served many overseas Chinese in returning to China for entrepreneurship, connecting them with business opportunities." Based on his own experience, Chen Shan expressed that the development of the GBA holds limitless entrepreneurial opportunities for young overseas Chinese. He emphasized that young overseas Chinese entrepreneurs should make careful choices in their entrepreneurial paths and leverage their comparative advantages.

Chen Xiankang, President of the Jiangmen Wuyi Youth Federation of Malaysia, believed that as young overseas Chinese and entrepreneurs, they should seize opportunities, enhance their own abilities and qualities, and draw upon China's advanced technology and management experiences. Through continuous innovation and development, they can contribute to economic and trade cooperation between Malaysia and China.

粤港澳大湾区蕴藏着侨青创业的无限机遇

5月17日下午，2023华侨华人粤港澳大湾区大会“侨青发展”分论坛在广东江门举办。论坛以“侨青汇湾区，共圆中国梦”为题，来自中国、新西兰、新加坡、马来西亚、泰国、美国、委内瑞拉等国家和地区的嘉宾、侨青代表100余人参加了会议。

在主题演讲环节中，中国华侨华人研究所主要负责人指出：“新征程为侨界青年提供了广阔舞台，高质量发展为侨界青年提供了更多选择，时代感、活力十足的侨界青年一定可以大有作为。”

港区全国人大代表、广东省政协常委、信义能源控股有限公司董事局主席李圣泼说，“侨界青年具有当好祖国与世界‘超级联系人’的天然优势。要当好国家建设的参与者、推动者和宣传者。”他说：“粤港澳大湾区综合优势明显，产业基础雄厚，一定能成为驱动全球经济发展的重要引擎，成为国内企业走出去，引导外资走进来，汇聚全国智慧的重大发展平台。”

粤港澳大湾区（广东）创新创业孵化基地总裁陈山说，“我们服务了很多华侨华人回国创业，为侨界青年搭一座桥、开一扇窗。”结合自己的工作经验，陈山表示，粤港澳大湾区的发展蕴藏着侨青创业的无限机遇，侨界青年创业应精准选择赛道发挥比较优势。

马来西亚江门五邑青年联合会会长陈贤康则认为，作为侨青和侨商应该把握机遇，加强自身的能力和素质的提升，积极学习和借鉴中国的先进科技和管理经验，不断创新和发展，为推动马中两国经贸合作做出积极贡献。
