This year's May Day holiday ended smoothly. According to the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangdong Province on May 3, from April 29 to May 3, Guangdong received 45.461 million tourists, a year-on-year increase of 77.9%, and an increase of 18.6% compared to the same period in 2019; the total tourism revenue reached 27.44 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 101.1%, and an increase of 17.7% compared to the same period in 2019.
Currently, Guangdong has 216 national AAAA National Tourist Attractions, 15 AAAAA National Tourist Attractions, 2 China National Tourist Resorts , and 28 provincial tourist resorts. During this year's May Day holiday, Guangdong stimulated potential demand and promoted cultural and tourism consumption through government-enterprise interaction. According to incomplete statistics, there were 1598 culture and tourism activities including 166 themed events arranged throughout the province during the holiday.
The holiday saw a continuous rise in Guangdong's culture and tourism market through both online and offline activities, and both physical and service consumption.
Guangdong's various attractions are popular among tourists. According to order statistics from Ctrip, a Chinese tourism company, among the top 10 popular tourist attractions in Guangdong during the May Day holiday are Guangdong Science Center, Window of the World, and Chimelong Xiangjiang Safari Park. While Guangdong Science Center, Chimelong Xiangjiang Safari Park, and Baishuizhai Scenic Area were among the top 10 in Guangzhou.
Another highlight of the holiday is the tourism consumption vouchers. The Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangdong Province, together with major cities in the Pearl River Delta, UnionPay, and Amap, issued tourism consumption vouchers for citizens and tourists in Guangdong. The first batch of vouchers is effective during the entire May Day holiday and quickly ran out on the evening of April 26.
This year's vouchers mainly cover regular tourist routes, scenic spot tickets, accommodation, RV tours, study tours, tourism goods, performance tickets, and related products. According to preliminary estimates, during the May Day holiday, 150 key tourist attractions monitored by the province received a total of 12.373 million visitors, a year-on-year increase of 123.7% and an increase of 10.5% compared to the same period in 2019.
Public cultural institutions at all levels in Guangdong have enriched the cultural life for the public during the holiday by creating new cultural spaces and conducting immersive cultural activities in various forms. According to preliminary estimates, during the May Day holiday, 75 key public cultural institutions monitored by the province received 851,000 visitors, a year-on-year increase of 62.9%.
The Guangdong Museum opened 14 exhibitions to the public and 13 mobile exhibitions in local museums, receiving about 63,000 visitors. The Guangzhou Library received approximately 143,000 visits from readers, with about 187,000 documents and books borrowed. The library also held 89 offline and online events for about 74,000 participants.
“五一”假期广东文旅市场强劲复苏:迎客4546.1万人次,收入274.4亿元
今年“五一”假期顺利结束。5月3日,广东省文化和旅游厅发布的信息显示,据初步测算,4月29日至5月3日,全省接待游客4546.1万人次,同比增长77.9%(按可比口径,下同),较2019年同期增长18.6%;实现旅游总收入274.4亿元,同比增长101.1%,较2019年同期增长17.7%。
目前,广东共有216家国家4A级景区、15家国家5A级景区以及2家国家级旅游度假区、28家省级旅游度假区。在今年“五一”假期,广东激发需求潜力,政企互动助推文旅消费。据不完全统计,“五一”假期全省安排各类文化和旅游活动1598项,其中促进文旅消费主题等重点活动166项。
刚刚结束的5天假期,广东文旅市场持续升温,文旅活动精彩纷呈,线下与线上“齐飞”,实物与服务消费“两旺”。广东各景区受到游客们的青睐,据携程订单量显示,“五一”假期,广东科学中心、世界之窗、长隆野生动物世界等位居广东热门景区top10;广东科学中心、长隆野生动物世界、白水寨风景名胜区等位列广州热门景区top10。
发放文旅消费券是一大亮点。广东省文化和旅游厅联合珠三角城市、银联、高德地图,面向在广东消费的居民和游客,发放文旅消费券。首轮惠民补贴券覆盖整个“五一”假期,于4月26日发布当晚被迅速抢光。今年的惠民补贴重点用于常规的旅游线路、景区门票、住宿、房车旅游产品、研学旅游产品、旅游商品、文艺演出门票和文创产品等。据初步测算,“五一”假期,全省纳入监测的150家重点景区共接待游客1237.3万人次,同比增长123.7%,较2019年增长10.5%。
广东各地各级公共文化机构通过打造新型文化空间、开展沉浸式体验等形式多样的文化活动,丰富群众假日期间精神文化生活。据初步测算,“五一”假期全省纳入监测的75个重点公共文化机构接待85.1万人次,同比增长62.9%。
省博物馆共有14个展览对外开放和13个流动展在基层博物馆对外展出,接待观众约6.3万人次。广州图书馆接待读者访问约14.3万人次,外借文献约18.7万册次,举办活动(包含线上)89场次,参加活动(包含线上)约7.4万人次。
