Shenzhen has been expanding its efforts to attract, host, and organize exhibitions in recent years, and the exhibition industry has been on an accelerated trajectory, further positioning it as a city of international exhibitions. In the first quarter of 2023, Shenzhen held over 50 exhibitions, that is, there was an exhibition every 1.8 days.
"Bringing in": the accumulated exhibition area expected to surpass 8 million square meters in 2023
This year, the Automechanika marked a major opening for Shenzhen's exhibition industry in February. In March, the frequency of exhibitions increased, with more than 20 exhibitions held and a total exhibition area of over 700,000 square meters. Super exhibitions such as the International Home Textiles Exhibition, the CIMP Auto Ecosystems Expo, and the ITES China Shenzhen International Industrial Manufacturing Technology and Equipment Exhibition were staged in the city.
From April 15th to 16th, the 21st Conference on International Exchange of Professionals was held in Shenzhen. On April 17th, the 35th International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries, a world-class exhibition in the rubber industry, and the first exhibition to fill the Shenzhen World Exhibitionand Convention Center.Next, Shenzhen will witness several exhibitions, suchas the first Shenzhen Fisheries Expo, the 2023 China Home Expo Shenzhen Spring Exhibition, and the 2022 Design Shenzhen.
In 2023, the accumulated exhibition area is expected to surpass 8 million square meters in Shenzhen, and the scale of exhibitions will reach a new high in history. The exhibition area of the three major professional exhibition halls, Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, Shenzhen World Convention and Exhibition Center, and Pingshan Yanzi Lake International Convention and Exhibition Center, is expected to increase by 2.6 times year-on-year, and the number of exhibitions is expected to increase by 3.6 times year-on-year.
"Going out": 485 exhibitors participated in overseas exhibitions in the first quarter
Shenzhen is also expanding its investment cooperation. On April 20th, the Shenzhen Major Transaction Platform Promotion Conference was held in Hangzhou, marking the first step of promoting Shenzhen's major transaction platform to the whole country and even the world.
According to Brief Report on Chinese Enterprises' Overseas Exhibition Data Survey in the First Quarter of 2023 recently released by China Trade News, Shenzhen ranked first in the number of exhibitors from domestic cities participating in overseas exhibitions, with 485 exhibitors.
Shenzhen strives to become a global hub for international exhibitions and conventions
Shenzhen is on a mission to become a global hub for international exhibitions and conventions, with a focus on developing the "20+8" emerging strategic industry clusters such as network and communication, software and information services, and intelligent terminals. By creating more international exhibition brands and leveraging the platform for exchange, resource aggregation, and industry chain connectivity, Shenzhen is driving high-quality economic development.
The city has been hosting a series of eye-catching exhibitions, providing a high-quality platform for Shenzhen to expand its international cooperation. At the opening ceremony of the 35th International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries, Stephan Keller, the Mayor of Dusseldorf, Germany, said, "We see Shenzhen's potentialto further develop as an exhibition city." Thanks to the boost from the exhibition economy, Shenzhen's investment attractiveness is growing. Data shows that in the first quarter of this year, Shenzhen's foreign trade got off to a good start, with the total import and export value reaching 796.76 billion yuan, a 7.4% increase, accounting for 43.3% of Guangdong's total.
平均1.8天一个展!深圳加快会展业发展
近年来,深圳持续扩大招展、引展和排展力度,会展业一路“狂飙”,进一步加快国际会展之都的建设步伐。2023年一季度,深圳市已举办展会超50场,平均1.8天就有一个展会。
“引进来”:预计全年办展面积超800万平方米
今年2月,法兰克福汽配展为深圳会展业重磅开局。进入3月,展会频次更高,举办展会超20场,举办展览面积超70万平方米。国际家纺展、九州汽车生态博览会、ITES深圳工业展等超级大展轮番登场。
4月15日至16日,第二十一届中国国际人才交流大会在深圳成功举办。4月17日,第三十五届国际橡塑展这场世界级橡塑工业展览会,也是深圳国际会展中心首个单展满馆的大展。
接下来,首届深圳国际渔业博览会、2023年华夏家博会深圳站春季展、2022设计深圳、GTC2022全球流量大会、第九届深圳国际IP授权产业博览会、第二届深圳跨境电商选品及消费电子展览会、2023深圳国际玩具婴童用品展览会也将在深圳轮番登场。
2023年,深圳预计全年办展面积超800万平方米,办展规模将创历年新高。深圳会展中心、深圳国际会展中心、坪山燕子湖国际会展中心三大专业展馆办展面积预计同比增长2.6倍,展览数量预计同比增长3.6倍。
“走出去”:一季度485家参展商赴海外参展
深圳正开拓更多的投资合作。4月20日,深圳重大交易平台推介会在杭州举行,这是深圳重大交易平台向全国乃至全球迈出的第一站。
《中国贸易报》近日发布的2023年一季度《中企海外参展数据调研简报》显示,深圳以485家参展商数量位于国内城市海外参展第一位。
全力打造更具全球影响力的国际会展之都
当前,深圳正在全力打造更具全球影响力的国际会展之都。一方面,紧紧围绕“20+8”战略性新兴产业集群和未来产业发展,打造更多具有国际影响力的会展品牌;另一方面,充分发挥会展的平台交流、资源汇聚、产业链联通、动能培育作用,推动深圳经济高质量发展。
琳琅满目的展会相继举办,为深圳拓展国际合作空间搭建了优质平台。德国杜塞尔多夫市市长史蒂芬·凯勒出席此前举办的第35届国际橡塑展开幕式并表示,“我们看中了深圳作为一个展会城市进一步发展的潜力”。得益于展会经济的助力,深圳这片热土的投资吸引力越来越大。数据显示,今年一季度,深圳外贸开局良好,进出口总值7967.6亿元人民币,增长7.4%,占广东省进出口总值的43.3%。
