On the afternoon of April 18th, the ＂Understanding China - New Youth Perspective＂ short video collection and exhibition event held its award ceremony. The exhibition included various categories such as ＂Discovering Chinese Culture＂,＂Traveling the World Together＂, and ＂the New Voice of the Greater Bay Area＂. 

A total of 1008 submissions were received from youth in 39 countries, with 147 making it to the online exhibition phase. These young people, both domestic and international, shared stories of China from all around the world through their lens, presenting a diverse and comprehensive view of China's new developments.

In Chinese modernization, Chinese youth are not the only participants in the country's development, but also key players in creating China's story. By sharing China's story in the language of the youth, exploring China's emotions from the perspective of the youth, and presenting their vision for China's future, the youth can bring a more varied, authentic and comprehensive image of China to the world with their unique energy and creativity. This will provide a youthful and fresh perspective to help the world better understand China.

The addition of young voices to ＂Understanding China＂ has brought a youthful perspective to the event, showcasing the cultural vitality of the Greater Bay Area and demonstrating the region

attention to and welcome of young people. As one of China's most open and economically dynamic regions, the Greater Bay Area is a developed and vibrant area filled with youthful vitality. In Guangdong province, the ＂1+12+N＂ system, which is led by the Greater Bay Area Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubation Base, has been basically completed in 2022. There are 18 youth innovation and entrepreneurship bases co-built by Guangdong and Hong Kong, and 5 bases co-built by Guangdong and Macao,connecting youth from the three regions.

The challenge facing China's new youth is to not only ＂what＂ and ＂how＂ to tell China's story, but to also ＂tell it well＂. Surprisingly, many of the short videos showcased during the exhibition presented a variety of attempts and explorations. Whether it was a conversation between modern people and ancient people from the Sanxingdui civilization or a touching documentation of an ancient village,

In addition, foreign youth actively participated in the collection and exhibition event, presenting China's story in a more natural and vivid way through their eyes. This is also a way to explore the ways to share China's voice with the outside world. For example, the video ＂English Songs with a Chinese Style＂ recorded the daily details and feelings of foreigners in China. This event not only enhances the recognition of Chinese culture in the world but also builds a bridge for communication between Chinese and foreign youth, promoting cultural exchanges between the two sides.

青年参与，讲好中国故事

4月18日下午，读懂中国·“新青年看中国”中外短视频征集展播活动举行了表彰典礼。该征集活动展播作品包括“中华文化发现之旅”“一起走遍全世界”“唱响湾区新声音”等板块，共收到来自39个国家的青年投稿作品1008部，最终147部进入线上展播环节。海内外青年用镜头分享发生在世界各地的中国故事，多角度呈现中国发展新面貌。

在中国式现代化道路上，中国青年是国家发展的参与者和建设者，是创造中国故事的蓬勃力量。用青年语言讲述中国故事，从青年角度探寻中国情怀，以青年理想展望中国未来，借用青年独有的活力和创造力，能更多元地展现真实、立体、全面的中国形象，为世界更好读懂中国，提供更青春、更鲜活的视角。

青年身影的加入，为“读懂中国”提供了年轻人的声音。展示了粤港澳大湾区的文化活力，显示出大湾区对青年的重视和欢迎。作为中国开放程度最高、经济活力最强的区域之一，粤港澳大湾区是一块充满激情与活力的先进地区，充满了青春朝气。在广东，2022年已基本建成以粤港澳大湾区（广东）创新创业孵化基地为龙头的“1+12+N”体系，粤港共建18家青年创新创业基地，粤澳共建5家青年创新创业基地，创业基地更好地连接起三地青年人才。

中国故事从“讲什么”“怎么讲”到“讲得好”是中国新青年面临的一项挑战。令人惊喜的是，此次展播的很多短视频作品里，我们能看到各种各样的尝试和探索，不管是与三星堆文明古代人和现代人对话，还是对古朴村落的动人记录，这些作品都用更多的中华元素让世界读懂真实的中国。

此外，国外青年也踊跃参与了这次征集活动，通过他们的眼睛，更自然生动地呈现中国故事，也不失为对外传播中国声音的一种探索，比如视频《中国风的英文歌》就记录了外国友人在中国的日常细节和感想。可以看到，该活动在提高中华文化在世界认同度的同时，也为中外青年搭建起沟通的桥梁，增进了中外文化的交流。
