According to the Guangdong Sub-administration of GACC, the imports and exports of Guangdong reached 587.74 billion yuan in January this year, down 22.7% year on year. The decrease is due to diminishing market demands in Europe and the United States, and the high comparison base of last year. Nevertheless, the amount attained 499.54 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4%. The province witnessed expanded value in exports, imports, and international trade. The exports reached 299.87 billion yuan, an increase of 1.5%, and imports 199.67 billion yuan, an increase of 7.9%.
As for the overall situation of the first two months, Guangdong's foreign trade is stable and keeps increasing, showing strong resilience in some industries.
Products withhigh technology, high value-added, and leading the green transformation comprised an important pillar ofGuangdong's exports. In the first two months, the exports of electric vehicles, lithium batteries, and solar cells increased by 15.4 times, 39.3%, and 93.7%, respectively.
The imports of bulk commodities andconsumer goods also grew rapidly. In the first two months, the imports of coal, crude oil, and iron ore rose by 32.7%, 15.6%, and 10.5%, respectively. Grain and dairy imports grew by 10.9% and 12.2%,respectively. With the rapid rebound in domestic consumption, the imports of jewelry materials (pearls,gemstones, and semi-precious stones), and jewelry grewby 76% and 26.9%. In addition, the exports of vegetables and fruits augmented by 43.9% and 50.7%,respectively.
In terms of exports, the demands of Latin America, an emerging market, keep growing, and enterprises are expanding their investment there. During this period, the trade volumes between Guangdong and two major Latin American countries, namely Brazil and Chile, grew by24.8% and14.4%.
According to the latest Government Work Report, foreign trade will continue to play a supportive role inthe economy, and China will stabilize the trade volume and improve product quality. To achieve this, the Guangdong Sub-administration of GACC has developed 18 measures to support the high-quality development of Guangdong's foreign trade and stabilize it in terms of scale and structure. Cities and relevant departments of Guangdong have released a series of measures to promote stable growth of foreign trade, accelerate the implementation of major projects, and support foreign trade enterprises to attain more market share and orders, so that people's confidence in the province's foreign trade can rebound.
According to an official of the Guangdong Sub-administration of GACC, the current situation shows thatGuangdong boasts quick economic recovery, favorable policies, great enterprise vitality, and resilient foreign trade, making possible the continued growth in foreign trade in March. With the rebounding domestic economy, recovering overseas consumption, launching of major projects, and the policies for stabilizing foreign trade, Guangdong's imports and exports will gradually improve.
2月广东外贸进出口止跌回升 进出口同比增长4%
据海关总署广东分署统计，受欧美需求走弱、高基数等影响，今年1月，广东外贸进出口5877.4亿元，同比下降22.7%。2月，广东外贸企稳回升，进出口4995.4亿元，同比增长4%。其中，出口2998.7亿元，增长1.5%；进口1996.7亿元，增长7.9%。进口、出口、进出口均实现正增长。
整体来看，1-2月，广东外贸呈回稳向好态势，展现出较强的韧性，进出口不乏亮点。
其中，高技术、高附加值、引领绿色转型的产品成为广东出口新增长点。前2个月，广东“新三样”产品表现亮眼，电动载人汽车、锂电池、太阳能电池出口分别增长15.4倍、39.3%、93.7%。
同时，大宗商品、消费品进口快速增长。前2个月，煤炭、原油、铁矿砂等进口分别增长32.7%、15.6%、10.5%。粮食、乳品进口分别增长10.9%、12.2%。随着国内消费快速反弹，前2个月，广东珍珠宝石及半宝石、首饰进口分别增长76%、26.9%。蔬菜、干鲜瓜果出口分别增长43.9%、50.7%。
从出口来看，拉美新兴市场保持增长。企业积极拓展新兴市场，前2个月，广东对拉美的巴西、智利进出口分别增长24.8%、14.4%。
今年的政府工作报告提出，要继续发挥进出口对经济的支撑作用，推动进出口促稳提质。海关总署广东分署已制定18条支持广东高质量发展措施，推动外贸稳规模优结构。广东各地市和相关部门出台系列促进外贸稳定增长措施，加快推动重大项目落地，支持外贸企业拓市场、抢订单，企业信心持续回升。
海关总署广东分署相关负责人表示，从目前情况看，广东经济恢复快、政策力度大、企业活力足、外贸韧性强，3月广东外贸有望延续2月增长势头。随着国内经济持续回暖，海外消费复苏，重大项目建设落地，前期各项稳外贸政策持续发力，广东外贸进出口将逐步企稳向好。
