On March 18, the offline award ceremony of the 2022 GD Youth Link - Guangdong International Youth Painting and Calligraphy Competition, which is organized by Guangdong People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (GPAFFC) and Yangcheng Evening News, was held in Guangzhou. The competition was first held in 2022, attracting nearly 2,000 primary and secondary school students from 18 countries on 4 continents.

The jury selected a total of 1,329 winning works, including 1,064 paintings and 265 calligraphy works. It should be noted that 279 of the winning works came from 17 foreign countries, including Russia, Colombia, Japan, Korea, Canada, and the United States.

The first edition in 2022 featured the themes of "My Motherland (Hometown)", "My Winter Olympics Star", and "Peace and Friendship", alluring young people from many countries around the world.

With the help of sister cities and friendship organizations, the GPAFFC called for paintings and calligraphy works created by

primary and secondary school students in other countries . "The participants created colorful works with their own cultural characteristics, showing their excellent calligraphy and painting skills, as well as their enthusiasm to serve as 'young ambassadors' of civil friendship."

Liu Xintong, a student from Malaysia, won the first prize. She said in a video that writing calligraphy is a very delicate activity that makes one become attentive and enhances one's capabilities to observe, analyze, and express. "Painting can refine one's sentiment It serves as a dialogue between the painter and viewers. In the dialogue, the imagination is expanded and deepened, and one's temperament is also cultivated," Liu said.

Otani Mako, a student from Japan, introduced the intention of her work in a video. "The four figures in the painting represent the young generation of China and Japan, and underneath them, I have drawn flowers symbolizing their respective countries. I'd like to work for Japan-China friendship in the future."

At the award ceremony, representatives of the winners from Guangdong, China, Chinese Hong Kong and Chinese Macao came on stage to express their feelings about their participation. They all showed their willingness to engage in more cultural activities to promote mutual respect and exchange and appreciation among civilizations, as well as to have more stages to show their talents.

海内外青少年以翰墨丹青写未来|2022年GD Youth Link“粤友杯”

青春画笔跨江海!3月18日,由广东省人民对外友好协会与羊城晚报社联合主办的2022年GD Youth Link “粤友杯”广东国际青少年书画比赛线下颁奖仪式在广州举行。大赛于2022年首创,吸引了来自全球4大洲、17个国家的近2000名中小学生参赛。

比赛以“我的祖国(家乡)”“我的冬奥明星”“和平友好”为主题

经评审,大赛共决出获奖作品1329幅,其中绘画作品1064幅、书法作品265幅。值得一提的是,在此次的获奖作品中,有279幅作品来自海外,包含俄罗斯、哥伦比亚、日本、韩国、加拿大、美国等共17个国家。

2022年,广东省人民对外友好协会携手羊城晚报社首次创办“粤友杯”书画比赛,以“我的祖国(家乡)”“我的冬奥明星”“和平友好”为主题,邀请全球多国青少年共同参与。

广东省友协借助友好城市和友好组织渠道,向广东省及省内21个地市的国际友好省州(城市)、友好组织所在地区的中小学学生征集绘画及书法作品,“参赛选手们创作了丰富多彩、富有各自文化特色的作品,展现精湛的书画技艺的同时,也彰显了他们担任民间友好交往‘小大使’的热情”。

来自马来西亚亚庇建国中学的刘欣彤在这次比赛中获得了一等奖。她在视频中表示,书法是一项十分精细的活动,可以让人变得细心,还可以培养人的观察能力、分析能力和表达能力。“画画则是一件陶冶情操的事情,是自己与观者的对话。在对话中,想象力得到扩展与深化,也培养人的气质。”刘欣彤说。

来自日本的大谷真子是神户中华同文学校的一名学生。她在视频中介绍了其作品的初衷:“画中的四位人物分别代表中日两国的年轻一代,在他们的下方,我画了象征各自国家的花卉。我将来也想为日中友好而努力。”

在颁奖仪式现场,来自粤港澳三地的获奖者代表纷纷上台,表达了他们对于参赛的感受。他们都表示,希望能参加更多文化活动,推进不同文明互相尊重、交流互鉴,也让大家有更多施展才华的舞台。
