NewYearinLingnanOn February 5, the Lantern Festival, after three years of break, Foshan large-scale folk activity"Xingtongji (Tongji Bridge Parade)" staged a comeback again. The scene was very lively and abuzz with the presence of huge crowds.

Men and women, old and young, walked from north to south through the Tongji Bridge, carrying windmills and lettuce. They said: "Through the Tongji Bridge, neither trouble nor unlucky", praying for a prosperous new year.

As a grand Lantern Festival folk activity in Foshan for hundreds of years, "Xingtongji (Tongji Bridge Parade)" is loved by locals and tourists from all over the Pearl River Delta and even all over the country alike. Hundreds of thousands of people participate in it every year.

2月5日元宵节，阔别三年的佛山大型民俗活动“行通济”重启，现场人山人海、热闹非凡。

男女老少举着风车、提着生菜，浩浩荡荡地由北到南走过通济桥，口中默念“行通济，冇闭翳”，祈求新的一年平平安安、顺顺利利。

“行通济”是佛山市延续了几百年的盛大元宵民俗活动，不仅深受本地人喜爱，更是吸引珠三角乃至全国各地游客参与，每逢举办均有数十万人次参与。
