The Public Service Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism recently announced the list of typical "Hometown of Chinese Folk Culture and Art". The list includes 91 places. Shiwan Town street in Chancheng District is the only place in Foshan City that made it to the list. The street is famous for Shiwan Pottery, which is the world's best pottery and the treasure of South China.

It is reported that the places that can be selected as the "Hometown of Chinese Folk Culture and Art" must have a specific area with distinctive features and wide participation of the masses in folk culture and art and have a large impact in the country, which mainly refers to towns and streets, but also some county-level cities and districts. #artandculture

近日，文化和旅游部公共服务司公示了“中国民间文化艺术之乡”建设典型案例名单。该名单包括91个案例，其中，“佛山市禅城区石湾镇街道：石湾瓦，甲天下，南国瑰宝璀璨中华（石湾陶艺）”上榜，是佛山唯一入选案例。据悉，能入选“中国民间文化艺术之乡”的地方，必须具有某一特色鲜明、群众喜闻乐见并广泛参与的民间文化艺术，并在全国产生较大影响的特定区域，主要指乡镇（街道），也包括部分县（县级市、区）。
