In the special exhibition of painting and calligraphy from the Song and Yuan Dynasties at the Guangdong Museum, two pieces of calligraphy from the Song Dynasty by Cantonese people have been "brought home" and put on display for the first time in Guangzhou: one is the cursive calligraphy The Bower of Contentment (Zu Xuan) by Bai Yuchan, and the other is the inscription by Liu Fang and Tan Weiyin, Royal Edictof Fan Suiin the Tang Dynasty. Both of them are of great significance in the history of calligraphy in Guangdong.
正在广东省博物馆展出的《绘冠南天——粤藏宋元书画特展》上,两件广东人宋代传世书法墨迹首次“回家”,汇集在广州展出:一为白玉蟾草书《足轩铭》,一为刘昉、谭惟寅题跋《唐范隋进封柱国告身》。前者为存世最早的广东人书法作品,而后者则是存世最早的粤籍名人墨迹。在广东书法史上有着重要的意义和价值。
