The action plan for the construction of the "City of Libraries" of Guangzhou City has been issued recently. The plan intends that by 2026, the city will have 3,000 public libraries (branches) and service points; and promote the construction of Guangzhou Second Library and Third Library, Guangzhou Second Children and Youth Library, Guangzhou Third Children and Youth Library. By 2024, the city's secondary and elementary school libraries and public libraries will be interconnected and community libraries will be integrated.

广州市建设“图书馆之城”的行动计划已于近日印发。方案提出，到2026年，全市建成公共图书馆（分馆）、服务点3000座；推动建设广州第二图书馆、第三图书馆，建设广州第二少年儿童图书馆、广州第三少年儿童图书馆；

到2024年，实现全市中、小学图书馆与公共图书馆互联互通、社区图书馆有机融合。
