Maoming longan has been cultivated for more than 2,000 years and is known as "the hometown of Gold Longan in China". According to research, as early as the Western Han Dynasty, the Longan in Maoming was already used as an imperial tribute. The planting area of Maoming Longan reaches 780,000 mu and the output reaches 541,700 tonnes.
