Chebaling Nature Reserve located in Shixing of Shaoguan is known as "treasure house of species and the pearl of Nanling". Recently, 6 species of bryophytes newly recorded in Guangdong were found in the reserve. It is understood that because of the ancient mountain, complex terrain, superior hydrothermal conditions, Chebaling protection area bred very rich animal and plant resources. Many ancient relict plants are preserved.

韶关始兴车八岭保护区有“物种宝库、南岭明珠”之美誉。近期，保护区发现6种广东新记录苔藓植物。据了解，车八岭保护区内山体古老，地形复杂，水热条件优越，为动植物生存提供了多样化的生境，加上第四纪以来未受冰川影响，孕育了非常丰富的动植物资源，保存有不少古老孑遗植物。
