Zhan Bohui, o cientista social notável de Guangdong, linguista famoso, e professor do Departamento Chinês da JNU, dedicou-se à investigação linguística. Ao longo dos últimos dez anos, não só promoveu consistentemente o mandarim, mas também realizou, coma sua equipa, as investigações aprofundadas sobre dialectos como Min, Cantonês, Hakka, etc., para que a negligenciada investigação do dialecto cantonês pudesse tornar-se cada vez mais popular. Zhan Bohui, na sua velhice, ainda está a trabalhar arduamente na linha da frente da investigação académica para contribuir para a construção cultural de Chaozhou.
Zhan Bohui, Guangdong’s outstanding social scientist, famous linguist, and professor of the Chinese Department of JNU, has devoted himself to the linguistic research.
