Built in 1937, theAiqun Hotel, also known as Aiqun Building, held the title of “the tallest building in Guangzhou” for 30 years. The architectural style of the building borrowed from the new style of American skyscrapers, but also incorporated the Lingnan architectural style. Now, as a landmark building of Guangzhou, the 84-year old building is closely related to the development of Guangzhou and has long been an inseparable part of Guangzhou.
建于1937年的爱群大酒店，又名爱群大厦，曾在长达30年的时间里占据“广州第一高楼”的称号。这栋大厦建筑风格既借鉴了美国摩天大厦新风格的设计手法，又在其中融入岭南建筑风格。如今，已有84年历史的大厦作为广州的标志性建筑，与广州的发展息息相关，已成为广州不可分割的一部分。
