In a bid to optimize e-bike regulation, Guangzhou government has issued a draft of adjustments, soliciting public opinions.
According to the draft, the e-bike control areas (where e-bikes are strictly banned) are adjusted, catering for traffic conditions, public needs and some other factors. The licensed delivery e-bikes will be permitted to run within the control areas with advance application to traffic administration.

E-bikes will be forbidden in the following areas:
East: East Keyun Road (from Guangyuan Expressway to Pazhou Bridge), the west side of Pazhou Bridge and South Keyun Road.
South: The north side of Xinjiao Road.
West: Airport Road (from Huangshi Overpass to Sanyuanli Avenue), Sanyuanli Avenue (north of West Guangyuan Road), West Guangyuan Road (west of Sanyuanli Avenue), West Huanshi Road (from West Guangyuan road to Xichang Overpass), Zengcha Road (from Zengbu Bridge to Xichang Overpass), Zengbu Bridge, the Pearl River (from Zengbu Bridge to Renmin Bridge), East Pearl River Bridge, Pearl River Tunnel, Renmin Bridge, the east side of Gongye Avenue.
North: East Huangshi Road, South Baiyun Avenue (from East Huangshi Road to Guangyuan Middle Road), Guangyuan Middle Road (east of South Baiyun Avenue), East Guangyuan Road, the south side of Guangyuan Expressway (west of Keyun Middle Road).
The draft is now open to the public for feedback from July 12 to 22. There are two feedback channels available:
