Keketuohai International Ski Resort in Altay, Xinjiang, opened for the season on October 20th, marking the start of the 2026–2027 ski season. As of October 28th, searches for "skiing" on Meituan had risen 125% year on year in October, while bookings for accommodation within 5 kilometers of ski resorts for stays between November 2026 and March 2027 had climbed 217%. Travelers from southern cities accounted for around 55% of these bookings for November and December stays.

According to Meituan data, seven of the top 10 cities of departure for flights to ski destinations booked for travel between November 2026 and March 2027 were in southern China, including Guangzhou and Shenzhen, both in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Routes connecting northern and southern China have been particularly popular: flight bookings from Chengdu and Guangzhou to Altay rose 67% and 183% year on year, respectively. Ski resorts across northern Xinjiang are benefiting from the surge in tourism. This ski season, Altay's four major ski resorts are offering travelers from outside Xinjiang who arrive by air one complimentary ski session within five days of arrival upon presentation of their boarding passes.

The booking boom is also giving a boost to businesses around ski resorts. In the three days following the opening of Keketuohai International Ski Resort, accommodation bookings in Keketuohai Town increased by more than 30% compared with the previous three days. From October 16th to 25th, accommodation bookings near Chongli's ski resorts, which had not yet fully opened for the season, rose 110% from the preceding 10-day period. Soaking in hot springs and enjoying hotpot after skiing are also gaining traction. In the three days following the opening of Wanlong Ski Resort, searches for "hotpot" and "hot springs" in the Chongli area increased 46% and 59%, respectively, compared with the previous three days.

南方人开启一年一度的“追雪”

10月20日，新疆阿勒泰可可托海国际滑雪度假区开板，2026至2027冰雪季就此启幕。截至10月28日，10月以来美团平台上“滑雪”搜索量同比增长125%，入住时间在今年11月至明年3月的雪场周边5公里住宿预订量同比增长217%。11月、12月入住的雪场周边住宿订单中，约55%来自南方城市。

据美团数据，预订今年11月至明年3月冰雪方向机票的出发城市前十名里，南方城市占七席，广州、深圳两座大湾区城市同时上榜。跨越南北的航线尤其火爆：成都、广州飞阿勒泰的航班预订量同比分别增长67%和183%。北疆的雪场接住了这波客流，本雪季阿勒泰四大雪场面向乘机抵达的疆外旅客推出惠民政策，凭登机牌5日内可免费滑雪一次。

雪场周边的生意跟着订单热了起来。开板当日起3天，可可托海镇的住宿预订量较此前3天增长逾三成；10月16日至25日，尚未全面开板的崇礼雪场周边住宿预订量较此前10天增长110%。滑完雪泡温泉、吃火锅的“雪场一日”消费组合走热，万龙滑雪场开板当日起3天，崇礼地区“火锅”与“温泉”搜索量较此前3天分别增长46%和59%。
