At the "Gesheng No. 1" deep-sea aquaculture platform in the waters near Guishan Island, Zhuhai, the farming water volume reaches 30,000 cubic meters, with over 50,000 amberjacks raised across three giant net cages. This "super marine factory" stands as a testament to Guangdong's modernization of marine ranching. As a representative of "Blue Granary, Premium Guangdong Seafood," specialty products are shipped from here to dining tables nationwide, turning scientific innovation into tangible economic value and accelerating industrial upgrades in the marine economy.

Ai Shuangfu, aquaculture technology manager at Zhuhai Gree Sheng Technology Co., Ltd., noted that amberjacks can make the journey from harvest to dining tables in Beijing and Shanghai in just 48 hours, with an ex-pond price of around 50 yuan per 0.5 kg. Following the successful trial farming of the first batch of amberjacks in March 2025—where individual fish averaged over 4 kg and total seasonal harvest exceeded 50 tons—sales revenue surpassed 2.4 million yuan by August 2026. Designed for an annual output of 450 tons, the platform expects an annual production value exceeding 28 million yuan.

The platform's aquaculture water volume has expanded from 15,000 to 30,000 cubic meters, with net cages upgraded to a tubular framework structure capable of withstanding once-in-a-fifty-year typhoons. When Super Typhoon Ragasa struck Zhuhai head-on last year, the platform suffered only the loss of a single external air-conditioning cover plate. Equipped with a 5G smart fishery monitoring system that tracks dissolved oxygen, temperature, and salinity in real time, the latest batch of fry boasts a survival rate exceeding 98%. While operations previously required about 9 staff members, maintenance and operation now require just 3.

Construction began in November 2023, and the platform was delivered and put into operation in June 2024—taking just over seven months. In November of the same year, it obtained Guangdong's very first equipment registration and filing certificate for modern marine ranching. Du Bing, deputy general manager of Zhuhai Gree Sheng Technology Co., Ltd., stated that the "Gesheng No. 1" model has secured 26 orders across 6 provinces in China. Meanwhile, technologies developed by the Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion under the Chinese Academy of Sciences have been implemented in 7 coastal provinces nationwide, accumulating 40 orders, 15 of which have been built and put into operation, driving the output value of high-end marine equipment beyond 2 billion yuan.

Zhuhai has built 12 truss-style aquaculture platforms, ranking first in the province, with a total deep-water aquaculture water volume of 1.65 million cubic meters. In the first half of this year, its fishery output value reached 5.124 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.3%. Across Guangdong Province, a total of 6,396 gravity-type deep-water net cages have been built, ranking first in China.

“这条鱼最快48小时端上京沪餐桌。”在位于珠海桂山岛海域的“格盛1号”深远海养殖平台，养殖水体达到3万立方米，3个巨型网箱养着5万余尾章红鱼。这座“海上超级工厂”，是广东现代化海洋牧场建设最生动的注脚，作为“蓝色粮仓 粤海优品”代表，特色优品从这里游向全国餐桌，科技创新落地成金，产业跃升在蔚蓝中加速。

珠海格盛科技养殖技术经理艾双福介绍，章红鱼从出水到端上北京、上海餐桌最快48小时，出塘价每斤约50元。2025年3月首批章红鱼规模化试养成功，单体均重超8斤，当季收获超10万斤。到2026年8月销售额突破240万元。按设计，平台每年可出鱼450吨，年产值超2800万元。

该平台养殖水体从1.5万立方米增至3万立方米，箱体改为管架结构，可抵御50年一遇台风。去年超强台风“桦加沙”正面吹袭珠海，平台仅损失一块空调外机盖板。平台配备5G智能渔业管控系统，实时监测溶解氧、温度、盐度，新一季鱼苗成活率超98%。过去需约9人管养，如今运维仅需3人。

2023年11月开工，2024年6月交付投产，仅7个多月。同年11月获广东省首本现代化海洋牧场装备登记备案证。格盛科技副总经理杜兵称，“格盛1号”模式已获6个省份26台订单；中国科学院广州能源研究所研发的技术已在全国7个沿海省份落地，累计订单40台、15台建成投产，带动高端海洋装备产值超20亿元。

珠海已建成桁架式养殖平台12座，居全省第一，深水养殖总水体165万立方米，今年上半年渔业产值51.24亿元、同比增长9.3%。广东全省已建成重力式深水网箱6396个，居全国第一。
