On October 9th, Guangdong held the provincial advanced manufacturing conference, making it clear that the province will prioritize intelligent, green, and integrated development to promote the high-quality development of advanced manufacturing.

Intelligent development is an important direction for Guangdong's advanced manufacturing. In 2025, the operating revenue of industrial enterprises above the designated size in Guangdong reached 19.34 trillion yuan, maintaining its position as the nation's largest province by this measure, while the output of industrial robots grew by 31.2%. Since the beginning of this year, more than 2,000 embodied AI robots have entered industrial scenarios across the province, further empowering the manufacturing sector.

According to Wu Hong, a first-level inspector at the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Guangdong will use artificial intelligence as an engine to fully empower manufacturing development, advance new-generation intelligent manufacturing and deepen the digital transformation of the manufacturing sector. The province strives to build more than 1,000 advanced, excellent and leading-level smart factories by 2028, raise the AI technology application rate among manufacturing enterprises above the designated size to over 50% and increase the output of humanoid robots past 80,000 units.

Data shows that in 2025, the value added of advanced manufacturing in the province accounted for 56.2% of the value added of industrial enterprises above the designated size, while the proportion of high-tech manufacturing reached 34.7%. The province has created a total of eight national advanced manufacturing clusters and 30 national characteristic industrial clusters for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), forming 10 trillion-yuan-level industrial clusters.

"Whether manufacturing development is of high quality depends on its integration with frontier technologies and the entire industrial ecosystem," said Liu Chenli, president of the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology under the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He noted that the high-quality development of advanced manufacturing requires bridging the gap between scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation, allowing scientific research achievements to better serve industrial needs.

10月9日，广东召开全省先进制造业大会，明确要锚定智能化、绿色化、融合化发展方向，推动先进制造业高质量发展。

智能化是广东先进制造业发展的重要方向。2025年，广东规模以上工业企业营业收入达19.34万亿元，规模保持全国第一；工业机器人产量增长31.2%。今年以来，全省已有超过2000台具身智能机器人进入工业场景，加快赋能制造业。

据广东省工业和信息化厅一级巡视员吴红介绍，广东将以人工智能为引擎，全面赋能制造业发展，推进新一代智能制造，深化制造业数字化转型。力争到2028年打造1000家以上先进级、卓越级、领航级智能工厂，推动规模以上制造业企业人工智能技术应用普及率超过50%，人形机器人产量突破8万台。

数据显示，2025年，全省先进制造业增加值占规模以上工业增加值的比重达到56.2%，高技术制造业增加值占比达到34.7%。全省累计创建8个国家先进制造业集群、30个国家级中小企业特色产业集群，形成10个万亿元级产业集群。

“制造业发展是不是高质量，取决于它与前端科技的融合，以及与整个产业生态的融合。”中国科学院深圳先进技术研究院院长刘陈立表示，先进制造业高质量发展需要打通科技创新与产业创新之间的衔接环节，让科研成果更好服务产业需求。
