Visual inspection systems in factories help enterprises spot product defects; researchers leverage AI models to assist with coding; robots are being deployed on manufacturing production lines. In Guangdong, AI is increasingly entering industrial settings at a faster pace.

On September 22nd, the 2nd Guangdong AI Application Matchmaking Conference was held in Guangzhou. Earlier, in April this year, the first edition was held in Shenzhen. In less than six months, the format of the conference and its application fields have further expanded.

Guangdong's ability to hold the conference in successive sessions and on an increasingly larger scale is underpinned by its solid industrial foundation. Guangdong's core AI industry scale accounts for about one-quarter of the national total. A total of 142 large AI models have completed national registration, ranking third nationwide, while more than 430 industry-specific AI models have been put into use. Guangdong is home to ten trillion-yuan-level industrial clusters and more than 20 million market entities.

In recent years, Guangdong has continued to promote the integration of AI with the real economy. In 2024, Guangdong introduced relevant measures for empowering thousands of industries with artificial intelligence, proposing that by 2025 the value of the province's core AI industries should exceed 300 billion yuan and that more than 500 AI application scenarios should be created in manufacturing, education, elderly care and other fields; by 2027, the target for the value of the core AI industries is to be raised further to more than 440 billion yuan.

As more application scenarios are opened up, more demand is generated and more cooperation takes shape, AI is expected to become an important force driving the digital and intelligent transformation of industries and provide sustained innovation momentum for the development of Guangdong's modern industrial system.

广东AI应用潜力加速释放

9月22日，第二届广东省人工智能应用对接大会在广州举行。此前，在今年4月，首届广东省人工智能应用对接大会在深圳举行。从首届大会到第二届大会，时间跨度不足半年，会议组织形式和应用领域已进一步扩展。

广东连续举办大会并且越办越大，底气来自扎实的产业基础。广东人工智能核心产业规模约占全国四分之一，共有142个大模型通过国家备案，位居全国第三，超430个垂类行业模型已落地。广东拥有10个万亿级产业集群、超2000万户经营主体。

近年来，广东持续推动人工智能与实体经济融合。2024年，广东出台的人工智能赋能千行百业相关措施提出，到2025年，全省人工智能核心产业规模超过3000亿元，并推动人工智能在制造、教育、养老等领域形成500个以上应用场景；到2027年，人工智能核心产业规模目标进一步提高至4400亿元以上。

随着更多场景开放、更多需求释放和更多合作落地，人工智能有望成为推动产业数字化、智能化转型的重要力量，并为广东现代化产业体系建设注入持续的创新动能。
