On September 15th, the September promotional event of the "Guangdong Goods Go Global" Textile and Garment Production and Sales Matchmaking City Alliance was launched in Panyu District, Guangzhou, alongside the opening of the 2026 Guangdong Fashion Week Autumn Session. A series of activities, including manufacturing empowerment matchmaking, new brand launches and static fashion exhibitions, took place in succession, showcasing the appeal of Guangdong's textile and garment industry through the integration of advanced manufacturing and modern services.

"Guangdong's textile and garment industry can be summed up in five keywords: longevity, solid foundations, completeness, efficiency and breakthroughs," said Xu Jiancheng, a second-level inspector of the Consumer Goods Industry Division of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology at the launch ceremony. Today, Guangdong's textile and garment industry covers the production of cotton, linen, wool, silk, leather, chemical fibers and related materials, and spans the entire value chain from spinning, weaving, dyeing, washing and design to garment making, wholesale, retail, logistics and warehousing. More than 20 specialized industrial clusters have developed with differentiated strengths while complementing one another, making the province's textile and garment products a signature of Guangdong goods sold around the world.

By the end of 2025, Guangdong had nearly 4,300 textile and garment enterprises above designated size, with combined revenue approaching 360 billion yuan, accounting for about 12% of the national total. Of this, the apparel sector generated more than 170 billion yuan in revenue, accounting for about 16% of the national total, while annual garment output exceeded 3 billion pieces. In the first half of this year, Guangdong's garment exports reached 74.12 billion yuan, up 7.5% year on year, 8.2 percentage points higher than the national average.

9月15日，“广货行天下”纺织服装产销对接城市联盟九月专场促销活动在广州番禺启动，2026广东时装周——秋季同步开幕。制造业赋能对接、品牌新品发布、静态服装展览等系列活动轮番上演，集中展示广东纺织服装“先进制造+现代服务”魅力。

“广东纺织服装产业，可用‘久长、厚实、齐全、高效、突围’五个关键词概括。”启动仪式上，广东省工业和信息化厅消费品工业处二级调研员许建成谈道。如今全省纺织服装涵盖棉、麻、毛、丝、革、化纤及配料生产，贯通纺纱、织造、印染、洗水、设计、制衣、批发、零售、物流仓储等环节，20余个特色产业集群错位发展、协同互补，“岭南衣”始终是行销四海的广货代表。

截至2025年底，全省纺织服装规上企业接近4300家，营收近3600亿元，占全国约12%；其中服装服饰业营收超1700亿元、约占全国16%，年服装产量超30亿件。今年上半年，广东服装出口达741.2亿元，同比增长7.5%，高出全国平均水平8.2个百分点。
