City Life | On August 25, the 1st Pop Music Creation Conference (Guangdong) was held in Guangzhou. On the same day, Guangzhou Music Park officially opened to the public, launching its debut show GBA Pop Music Night. Five groups of musicians from the Greater Bay Area, including Mike Tsang and Liang Shanshan, took the stage in succession, striking the first note for this new trendy music landmark of the Greater Bay Area. From China’s first modern music tea house launched in Guangzhou back in the 1980s, to the booming live music scene across the city today, Guangzhou has always been a city passionate about music. The rise of music-infused nighttime economy goes beyond the traditional single-format nighttime consumption of dining and shopping. It fuels economic growth, eases social pressures, shapes the city’s cultural identity, and nurtures young talent. #citylife
