On Aug 30th, a delegation including Daniele Di Lorenzo, president of the Italian Esports Association (ITESPA), Benvenuti Matilde, secretary-general, Gianfranco Rava, vice president, and Santoro Massimo Emiliano, vice president of the World E-Sports Development Alliance, visited the Guangdong (Guangzhou) Game Overseas Publishing Service Center. They held discussions with representatives of the Guangdong Game Industry Association and its Esports Professional Committee on the complementary strengths and cooperation potential of the gaming and esports industries in China and Italy.

With esports as a vehicle, the cooperation leverages Guangdong's advantages across the entire industry chain to integrate the province's new quality productive forces in digital culture into the strategic expansion of the global industry landscape. By establishing a regular communication mechanism and a joint incubation model, the two sides aim to open up a digital Silk Road linking the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area with the Mediterranean coast and promote deeper integration of China's esports rules and event brands with mainstream international systems.

ITESPA, established in 2012, is a national member association recognized by the International Esports Federation (IESF). It has a mature tournament operation system and strong industry resource integration capabilities in Italy. It is also the only national esports governing body in Italy formally recognized by the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) in 2016.

湾区电竞“牵手”意大利，加速游戏电竞产业出海

8月30日，意大利电子竞技协会主席Daniele di Lorenzo、秘书长Benvenuti Matilde、副主席Gianfranco Rava、世界电子竞技发展联盟副主席Santoro massimo emiliano等一行到访广东（广州）游戏出海服务中心，与广东省游戏产业协会及协会电子竞技专业委员会单位代表进行座谈交流，多方就中意两国游戏电竞产业的互补优势与合作潜力进行深入探讨。

此次合作以电竞为媒介，依托广东全链条生态优势，将广东数字文化新质生产力嵌入全球产业的版图战略拓展。双方通过构建常态化联络机制与联合孵化模式，旨在打通从粤港澳大湾区到地中海沿岸的数字丝路，推动中国电竞规则与赛事品牌深度接轨国际主流体系。

据了解，意大利电子竞技协会（Italian Esports Association，简称 ITESPA）成立于2012年，是国际电子竞技联合会（IESF）认证的国家级成员协会，在意大利本土拥有成熟的赛事运营体系和行业资源整合能力，是意大利唯一被国家奥林匹克委员会（CONI）于2016年正式承认的国家级电竞管理机构。
