At noon on August 16th, the 2026 summer fishing moratorium in the South China Sea came to an end. In Zhaipo in Yangjiang, Jianghong in Suixi, Zhanjiang, Bohe in Maoming, Yamen in Jiangmen, and Nansha in Guangzhou, thousands of boats set sail to sea to harvest the sea's bounty. The opening of the fishing season of the South China Sea has been turned by localities across Guangdong into a blockbuster summer carnival that tourists from all over the country are rushing to join.

To mark the start of the fishing season, Hailing Island has carefully organized 15 events this year, including the China National Surfing Championships, the West Coast Ocean Games, and the Coastal Carnival. This year's lineup has set new records in scale, diversity, and quantity, and the island is expected to attract one million visitors.

The main venue for the opening ceremony of Zhanjiang 2026 Fishing Season is the Dopamine Parking Lot by the sea in China Merchants International Cruise City. Visitors can not only witness the spectacular sight of thousands of boats setting sail and indulge their taste buds at the seafood gourmet market, but also enjoy a variety of fun activities, such as the Aoyu-themed photo spot and the golden pomfret cooking challenge.

Taishan Fishing Season Food and Tourism Carnival runs from August 14th to 23rd. On the opening day of the fishing season, hundreds of boats set sail during the day, sounding their horns. In the evening, an authentic opening banquet was served, with freshly caught seafood brought straight to the table. During the ten-day carnival, seaside concerts are held every night, and with the red-and-white lighthouse facing the azure sea, even a casual snapshot looks like a stunning postcard.

Bohe in Maoming has prepared a four-day, three-night fishing season opening carnival featuring beachcombing, markets, concerts, and open-air movies. The event has also tapped into the sports fever surrounding the Guangdong Provincial Games, blending culture, sports, agriculture, and tourism.

The fishing season opening celebrations in Guangzhou's Nansha District extend from the 19th Chong Fisherman's Wharf in Wanqingsha to the "Yuzhou Changwan" New Rural Demonstration Belt and the area along the 14th Chong. The immersive themed markets feature food and drinks, cultural and creative products, intangible cultural heritage items, specialty agricultural products, and floating stalls, offering an all-in-one shopping, dining, and entertainment experience.

广东各地将开渔盛事办成暑期文旅嘉年华

8月16日中午12时，2026年南海伏季休渔正式结束。在阳江闸坡、湛江遂溪江洪、茂名博贺、江门崖门、广州南沙……千帆竞发耕海牧渔！南海开渔，已被广东各地改写成一场全国游客竞相奔赴的暑期顶流嘉年华。

趁开渔之“鲜”，海陵岛今年精心筹备了全国冲浪锦标赛、西海岸海洋运动会、滨海欢乐嘉年华等15项活动，规模、种类和数量均创历年新高，预计迎客100万人次。

湛江2026年开渔季启动仪式主会场设在招商邮轮城海边多巴胺停车场，游客除了能够欣赏万船出港的震撼场景、在海鲜美食集市尽享舌尖满足，还能在鳌鱼打卡装置、金鲳鱼厨艺挑战等环节解锁多元玩法。

江门台山的开渔季美食文旅嘉年华从8月14日持续至23日。开渔当天，白天百船鸣笛、扬帆出海，傍晚地道开渔宴准时开席，刚上岸的生猛海鲜直接端上桌！十天的嘉年华，海边音乐会每晚上演，红白灯塔直面碧海，随手一拍就是大片。

茂名博贺准备了4天3晚的开渔嘉年华，赶海、市集、音乐会、露天电影全部安排上了。盛会更结合省运会体育热潮，文体农旅相融。

广州南沙开渔季从万顷沙十九涌渔人码头延伸到了“渔舟唱晚”新乡村示范带、十四涌沿线，沉浸式主题市集涵盖美食餐饮、文创非遗、特色农产、水上摊位等，逛吃逛玩“一条龙”。
