"The first contract covers 150 building modules, and today they came for inspection. Many more orders will be signed successively," said Cao Jingyuan, General Manager of Guangzhou Construction Industry Research Institute Co., Ltd., on August 11th, after the group, together with Guangzhou Construction Science and Technology Industrial Co., Ltd., formally signed a trilateral strategic cooperation agreement with an Australian partner.

The initial 150 building modules will be delivered to multiple core regions across Australia, including Sydney, Western Australia, South Australia, Melbourne, Queensland, and New South Wales. At present, the first 40 modules are already in production in line with Australian access standards.

Modular construction is widely regarded as an important direction in the industrialization of the construction sector. Its core approach is to complete processes such as the construction of the main building structure, installation of mechanical and electrical systems, and interior finishing at a factory in advance, before transporting the finished modules to the construction site for rapid assembly. This represents a fundamental transformation in the way buildings are constructed and is precisely the real‑world embodiment of the "building houses like cars" concept that Guangzhou has been promoting in recent years.

According to the company, it had previously engaged in project discussions and business collaborations in markets including the United States, Canada and Mexico. The successful landing of the Australian order has further expanded the group's international market footprint for modular construction products. More importantly, because building modules are highly integrated products, taking them overseas also means that numerous companies and products across the supporting industrial chain are effectively "going overseas" as a package, creating opportunities for coordinated expansion into international markets for both upstream and downstream businesses.

“首批签订150个建筑模块，今天他们过来验收，后续还有好多订单陆续要再签。”8月11日，在广州建筑产业研究院集团、广州建筑科技工业有限公司与澳大利亚合作企业正式签署三方战略合作协议后，广州建筑产业研究院集团总经理曹京源这样介绍。

据悉，首批150个建筑模块订单的产品将覆盖悉尼、西澳、南澳、墨尔本、昆士兰、新南威尔士等澳大利亚多个核心区域。目前，首批40个建筑模块已按照澳大利亚准入标准启动排产。

模块化建筑被称为建筑业工业化发展的重要方向，其核心逻辑是将建筑主体结构、机电设备、装修产品等环节前置到工厂完成，再运输至现场快速组装，实现建造方式的根本变革——这正是广州近年来持续推动的“像造汽车一样造房子”理念的生动实践。

据介绍，此前广州建筑集团已与美国、加拿大、墨西哥等市场开展项目对接和业务合作探索，此次澳大利亚订单的落地，进一步拓宽了集团模块化建筑产品的国际市场版图。更值得一提的是，由于建筑模块属于高度集成的产品，其出海也意味着配套产业链上的众多企业和产品共同“打包出海”，带动上下游协同拓展海外空间。
