Recently, Chen Jiayi, a young violinist from Guangdong, has been appointed concertmaster of the Lahti Symphony Orchestra (Sinfonia Lahti) in Finland. This is a rare achievement for a young Chinese musician in recent years, securing a core leadership role in a major professional Nordic orchestra.

The Lahti Symphony Orchestra is internationally recognized as one of the representatives of the "Nordic sound," celebrated for its authoritative interpretations of Sibelius and contemporary Finnish music, as well as for its high-quality recordings and distinctive artistic identity.

Chen joined the Guangzhou Youth Symphony Orchestra (GYSO) in 2011. From 2011 to 2014, she served as the orchestra's concertmaster and frequently performed together with the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra (GSO). In 2015, performing as a soloist with the GSO in what was effectively a home game for her, she won the first major award of her career: the gold medal in the violin competition at the 10th Chinese Golden Bell Award for Music.

In 2017, Chen was selected for the inaugural Youth Music Culture Guangdong (YMCG), where she served as concertmaster of the YMCG Orchestra. Her experiences with the GYSO and the GSO marked the starting point of her musical journey and provided a solid foundation for her continued growth.

From concertmaster of the GYSO to concertmaster of the Lahti Symphony Orchestra, and from a budding young violinist to a performer on the international stage, Chen's story reflects the journey of generations of young musicians nurtured by YMCG.

从广东出发迈向世界舞台！青年小提琴家陈家怡担任芬兰拉赫蒂交响乐团首席

近日，广东籍青年小提琴家陈家怡获聘为芬兰拉赫蒂交响乐团（Sinfonia Lahti）首席，这是中国青年音乐家近年来罕见地以乐团首席身份进入北欧重要职业交响乐团核心岗位。

芬兰拉赫蒂交响乐团（Sinfonia Lahti）是国际乐坛公认的“北欧声音”代表之一，尤以对西贝柳斯及芬兰当代音乐的权威演绎、高水准录音和艺术辨识度著称。

陈家怡于2011年考入了广州青年交响乐团。2011年至2014年，陈家怡在广青交担任乐团首席，并多次与广交同台演出。2015年，她在广州交响乐团的协奏下，等同于在主场作战，斩获其音乐生涯中首个重要奖项——“第十届中国音乐金钟奖”小提琴比赛冠军。

2017年，陈家怡入选首届YMCG音乐周并担任音乐周乐团的首席。在广州交响乐团和广州青年交响乐团的经历，成为她走上音乐道路的起点，也助力她在其之后的发展中稳步成长。

从广青交首席到芬兰拉赫蒂交响乐团首席，从初出茅庐的青涩琴手到站上国际舞台的青年演奏家——陈家怡的故事，也是一代代YMCG青年音乐家的缩影。
