Guangdong will roll out two major cultural and tourism events: "Come to Guangdong for Dragon Boat Festival" and "Spend Your Summer Vacation in Guangdong".

This year, Guangdong will focus on dragon boat racing, aiming to build a unique brand that celebrates the Dragon Boat Festival, dragon boat racing, and the province itself as a top destination. From June to July, Guangdong will host 208 dragon boat events and 547 races, with nearly 100,000 enthusiasts participating. The races will be held across rivers, lakes, and even coastal waters in 21 cities throughout Guangdong.

In mid-June, the main venue event for the 2026 "Come to Guangdong for Dragon Boat Festival" will be held in Foshan, with races taking place simultaneously across multiple cities in the province. On June 20th, the Guangzhou International Dragon Boat Invitational Tournament will take place on the Pearl River, bringing together over 100 teams from around the world. Being held in close proximity, the two events will work together to shine a spotlight on the rich dragon boat culture of Lingnan.

The "Spend Your Summer Vacation in Guangdong" campaign focuses on two main themes: seaside fun and educational travel. For the "seaside fun" theme, leveraging the longest mainland coastline in China, Guangdong will launch a series of themed routes that allow visitors to get close to the sea, play in the water, and savor the coastal flavors. These routes stretch from the Pearl River Delta to eastern and western Guangdong, offering a one-stop experience along the entire coastline.

For the study tours, Guangdong has curated two series of high-quality study tour routes across ten topics: humanities and technology. For example, visitors can step into the Maritime Silk Road Museum of Guangdong to uncover the secrets of ancient Chinese maritime civilization; follow in the footsteps of the film "Dear You" to explore its Chaoshan filming locations and appreciate the patriotic sentiments expressed in qiaopi (overseas Chinese remittance letters); and experience hands-on cutting-edge technology at the XbotPark robotics base.

Guangdong has also set aside 30 million yuan in special incentive funds to create an integrated "ticket stub economy" system. Tourists holding tickets for scenic spots, high-speed rail, or flights can enjoy bundled discounts on dining, accommodation, scenic spots, and shopping, allowing a single ticket stub to unlock an all-encompassing consumer experience covering food, lodging, transport, sightseeing, shopping, and entertainment.

From the Dragon Boat Festival to the end of summer, Guangdong will continue to carry out the trade-in program for old consumer goods and the "Guangdong Quality Products Purchase" initiative. And in the catering sector, a dual incentive of consumer vouchers and invoice lotteries will be introduced. Meanwhile, in partnership with all 21 cities, the "Yuewei 21" city dining brand portfolio will be built, ensuring that residents and tourists can enjoy delicious food, have fun, and win prizes.

龙舟竞渡、玩海游学、消费狂欢……过端午、度暑假，当然来广东！

广东将推出“请到广东过端午”“暑假当然来广东”两大文旅主题活动。

今年，广东将以“龙舟竞渡”为主题，全力打响“过端午、赛龙舟、到广东”特色品牌。6月-7月，全省将举办208项龙舟活动、547场比赛，近10万名爱好者参与，赛事遍布广东21个地市的江河湖海。

其中，6月中旬将在佛山举办龙舟竞渡2026“请到广东过端午”主会场活动，实现全省多地同步开赛。6月20日，广州国际龙舟邀请赛将在珠江精彩呈现，汇聚全球超百支队伍参与竞渡，与佛山主会场相邻联动，共同擦亮岭南龙舟文化名片。

“暑假当然来广东”主题活动，聚焦玩海、游学两大主题。“玩海”方面，广东拥有全国最长的大陆海岸线，将推出系列亲海玩海品海主题线路，从珠三角到粤东、粤西，全海岸一站式体验。

“游学”方面，广东围绕十大主题策划精品游学线路，分为人文游学与科技游学两个系列。比如走进广东海上丝绸之路博物馆，探秘中国古代的航海文明；跟着《给阿嬷的情书》打卡潮汕取景地，品读侨批里的家国情怀；在松山湖机器人基地，体验硬核科技实践等。

广东还安排3000万元专项奖补资金，构建票根经济联动体系。游客持景区门票、高铁票、机票等凭证，即可享受餐饮、住宿、景区、购物等联动优惠，实现“一张票根”串联食、住、行、游、购、娱全链条消费。

从端午延续至整个暑期，全省将持续开展消费品以旧换新和“广东优品购”活动，同时在餐饮领域推出“消费券+发票抽奖”双重福利，并联动21地市打造“粤味21”美食IP矩阵，让市民游客“有得吃、有得玩、有得奖”。
