The National Event on the Environment Day 2026 will be jointly organised by Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao in Guangzhou on June 5, 2026. As one of China's most biodiverse provinces, Guangdong is home to a wide range of terrestrial and marine ecosystems, along with diverse landscapes that support abundant wildlife and plant species.

According to the latest records, Guangdong is home to 1,052 species of terrestrial vertebrate wildlife and 6,658 species of wild higher plants, highlighting the province’s rich and increasingly well-protected biodiversity.

2026年6月5日，六五环境日国家主场活动将由粤港澳大湾区联合在广州举办。作为全国生物多样性最丰富的省份之一，广东陆海兼备、地貌多样，孕育出完整独特的生态系统。目前全省记录陆生脊椎野生动物1052种、野生高等植物6658种。
