Starting May 7th, Terminal 1 at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport will close for renovation and upgrading, with all domestic airlines previously operating there relocated to Terminal 3. Many residents and travelers feel reluctant to bid farewell to T1, which has been in service for nearly 22 years, while also looking forward to what comes next.

For many Guangzhou residents, T1 is more than just an airport terminal. It has been a place that witnessed important moments in their lives, such as their first flight, their first trip away to study, and many other "firsts." Late on the night of May 6th, many people still made a special trip to the terminal to take photos, marking the final night of T1's operation. Yet alongside the nostalgia, there is also a strong sense of anticipation. One netizen wrote, "I look forward to seeing the new T1 work together with T2 and T3, with smarter facilities and more impressive interiors."

The terminal transfer will also bring major changes to passenger travel arrangements. The P1, P2, P3 and P4 parking lots serving T1 will be temporarily closed to the public. From May 7th to 14th, Baiyun Airport will operate round-the-clock shuttle services for passengers picking up their cars. The T3 shuttle will run every 30 minutes, while the T2 shuttle will operate on demand, helping passengers arriving at T2 and T3 reach the T1 parking lots to pick up their cars. Starting May 7th, passenger trains will pass through the "Airport South (T1 Terminal)" metro station and the "Baiyun Airport South Station (T1)" intercity rail station without stopping. Passengers taking the metro to T3 may first travel to Gaozeng Station, exit from Exit B, and transfer to the Airport 2 Branch bus service. The journey takes about 15 minutes and costs two yuan. Passengers returning from T3 may go to Gate 74 at the tour bus area on Level 1 of the Terminal 3 Transportation Center to take a bus back to the city.

白云机场T1关闭提升，所有航班转入T3

5月7日起，广州白云国际机场T1航站楼将关闭改造升级，原有所有国内航司整体转场至T3航站楼运营。不少市民旅客对这座投入运行近22年的T1航站楼依依不舍，也有殷殷期盼。

对许多广州人来说，T1不仅是一座航站楼，也是见证人生重要时刻的节点。第一次飞行、第一次远行求学，许多“人生第一次”都有它的陪伴。5月6日晚临近深夜时，仍有不少人专程前来拍照留念，纪念T1航站楼运行的最后一夜。然而在不舍之外，更多的是期待。有网友写道：“期待新T1以更智能的设施和更华丽的装潢与T2和T3共同发挥作用。”

航站楼转场后，出行将发生较大变化：T1配套的P1、P2、P3、P4停车场将暂停对外开放，5月7-14日，白云机场将开通全天运营的取车接驳专线，T3专线每30分钟一班，T2专线按需发车，方便在T2、T3抵达的旅客前往T1各停车场取车。地铁“机场南”和城际列车“白云机场南站”，5月7日起将载客不停站通过。乘坐地铁前往T3的旅客可先抵达高增站，B出口出站换乘“空港2线支线”公交线路，全程15分钟票价2元。从T3返程的旅客，可前往T3交通中心一层旅游巴士集散中心74号卡位搭乘公交返回市区。
