City Life | During the May Day holiday, an oddly trimmed tree outside the City God Temple unexpectedly became an internet sensation in Jieyang Ancient City. Many visitors even arrived carrying chicken cutlets to pose for photos with the tree. Meanwhile, the ancient city came alive with the atmosphere of Chaoshan culture. Along the old streets and alleys, the aromas of braised pork knuckle rice, Oyster Omelet, and Beef Ball Soup filled the air as locals and tourists wandered through the city sampling traditional flavors and enjoying its lively everyday charm.
