JUMBO Group chefs learn Chaoshan cuisine in Shantou

On April 12th, the 2026 JUMBO Group Chaoshan Cuisine Training Program officially opened at Guangdong Province Yuedong Technician College, launching a five-day program dedicated to Chaoshan culinary techniques and cultural exchange. Senior management and chefs from Singapore's JUMBO Catering took part. They will study Chaoshan culinary techniques at the school, visit renowned Chaoshan cuisine restaurants, explore Chaoshan ingredients in local markets, and join discussions on how Chaoshan cuisine can expand overseas.

JUMBO Seafood, founded in 1987, is a Singapore-based international restaurant group renowned for its Singapore-style Chinese seafood dishes. It operates several brands, including Jumbo Seafood, JPOT Hot Pot, and Chui Huay Lim Teochew Cuisine. Its Chaoshan cuisine enjoys a long-standing reputation in Southeast Asia.

During the training, the culinary team from Singapore's JUMBO Catering visited the training kitchen of the Department of Teochew Cuisine at Guangdong Province Yuedong Technician College. They received systematic instruction and hands-on training in various dishes, including stewed chicken with Chinese Pholidota Herb, various types of Teochew pan-fried specialties, pork patty making, and the preparation of rice batter, filling combinations, and steaming techniques for Chaoshan-style steamed rice noodle rolls. Chaoshan cuisine instructors provided step-by-step instruction, discussing and answering questions raised by the Singaporean trainees. Each evening, the team reviewed the day's learning around the dishes they had prepared and sampled signature dishes and snacks, further deepening their understanding of the flavor profile and culinary traditions of Chaoshan cuisine.

In addition, a Singaporean food tasting session was held. JUMBO Group's culinary team brought Singaporean specialties such as pandan cake for guests, faculty, and students to sample, creating a relaxed atmosphere for cultural exchange through cuisine.

新加坡大厨“组团”来汕头学潮菜!

4月12日,2026新加坡珍宝集团潮菜技艺专项培训在广东省粤东技师学院正式开班,为期5天的潮菜技艺培训和文化交流拉开序幕。来自新加坡珍宝餐饮集团的高层管理人员、厨师团队参加培训和交流,他们将进学校研修潮菜厨艺、到企业体验潮菜名店、入市场了解潮菜食材、参加座谈探讨潮菜出海路径。

珍宝海鲜集团是创立于1987年、源自新加坡的国际餐饮集团,以经营新加坡风味中式海鲜菜肴闻名,拥有珍宝海鲜、珍宝火锅、醉花林品潮轩等多个品牌。其潮菜在东南亚久负盛名。

培训期间,新加坡珍宝集团厨师团队走进省粤东技师学院潮菜烹饪学院实训室,围绕石橄榄炖鸡、各类烙制作、猪肉饼制作以及潮汕肠粉的米浆调制、馅料搭配、蒸制技巧等进行系统学习与实操训练。潮菜烹饪老师做到手把手传授,并就新加坡学员提出的问题进行探讨和解答。每天晚上,团队还结合当日成品,围绕学习问题展开复盘,并增加特色菜品与点心品鉴,进一步强化对潮菜风味体系的理解。

此外,活动现场还设置了新加坡美食品鉴环节,珍宝集团的厨师团队专门带来斑斓糕等新加坡特色糕点,供与会嘉宾和师生品尝,双方在轻松的氛围中进行了美食文化交流。
