On April 2nd, Fair of AI and Robotics, plus (FAIR plus 2026) will build a world-class platform with 15,000 square meters of display area, over 500 participating companies, and more than 50 professional events. Behind the exhibition lies the solid foundation of Shenzhen's robotics industry: in 2025, the industrial cluster recorded operating revenue of 37.903 billion yuan, up 34.3% year on year, with added value reaching 7.366 billion yuan, up 25% YoY. The output of service robots totaled 7.9665 million units, accounting for 42.9% of the national total, while leading enterprises have taken the lead across global niche segments.

The core competitiveness of Shenzhen's robotics industry stems from a full industrial chain built on decades of accumulation in electronic information manufacturing. It covers all links: upstream core components, midstream complete machine manufacturing, and downstream application scenarios, forming a unique ecosystem of industrial synergy. Such a whole-chain layout delivers extreme efficiency. In this industrial valley, about half of the robot components can be sourced within a 10-kilometer radius, and 80% can be found within 40 kilometers. This makes Shenzhen one of the world's most complete and efficient cities for the robotics industry supply.
High-intensity R&D investment by local enterprises has become the core engine driving technological breakthroughs. For example, UBTECH Robotics reported total revenue of 2.001 billion yuan in 2025, with R&D spending of 507 million yuan, accounting for 25.36% of its revenue. Investment in full-size embodied AI humanoid robot development alone exceeded 270 million yuan, while related business revenue reached 820 million yuan, surging 2,203.7% YoY.

Shenzhen has turned the entire city into a testing ground for new technologies, taking the lead in open application scenarios across government services, transportation, healthcare, industry, and commerce. In Futian, humanoid robots help with subway security checks. In Nanshan, robots patrol streets alongside police officers. In factories, UBTECH's humanoid robots have been deployed in high-end settings such as aviation manufacturing and auto production. DOBOT collaborative robots serve more than 80 Fortune Global 500 companies, covering over 200 sub-scenarios across 15 industries.
