On the evening of March 7th, Karem, the Milan hotel receptionist at the center of the "Crispy Candy Cross-Border Relay" sensation, gave an exclusive interview to Yangcheng Evening News, expressing eager anticipation for his upcoming trip to China.

During the interview, the reporter told Karem that his favorite Hsu Fu Chi crispy candy recently appeared at China's two sessions this year and gained recognition and affection from a wider audience. Karem was thrilled by the news and amused by videos showing journalists from around the world playfully encouraging him to try the candy.

Karem plans to finalize his itinerary for the China trip next week. He hopes to embark on the journey by the end of this month and experience the making process of the Chinese candies up close.

The idea of "Guangdong Goods Global Reach" came to life in the "Crispy Candy Cross-Border Relay" event. It all started with a simple craving for a piece of crispy candy by Karem, a receptionist at Milan's Hotel Flora, prompting local Chinese residents and travelers to make relay visits to the hotel for "treats". Upon learning the story, the confectionery maker Hsu Fu Chi sent representatives to Milan to invite Karem to tour its factory in Dongguan.

In the interview, Karem showed the reporter a jar full of crispy candy, beaming with joy. He recalled that he tried the Chinese confectionery for the first time about 20 days ago and fell in love with it instantly.

Karem expressed great excitement for his upcoming trip to China. The relay event, he said, has sparked his curiosity about and admiration for the warmth of the hospitable Chinese people, and he hopes to explore more Chinese cities and cultures during this journey.
