The 2026 "Spring Flower and Lantern Festival" at Guangzhou Cultural Park, under the theme of "Lingnan Spring Charm, Liwan Gracing Flower City", is scheduled to run from February 16th (Chinese New Year's Eve) to March 3rd (the 15th day of the first lunar month). The "Lantern Festival" will be held simultaneously every evening from February 25th (the 9th day of the first lunar month) to March 3rd.

For this year's festival, 22 elaborately crafted landscaped displays combining floral arrangements and lanterns have been created, featuring more than 22,000 premium flowers of 30 varieties and complemented by more than 1,800 distinctive structural components and ornaments. This creates a viewing experience of "every step a new view, every view a different flower," deeply integrating the Lingnan New Year vibe with garden landscapes.

During the Chinese New Year, the park will host nearly 40 cultural events, including traditional folk performances, calligraphy and painting exhibitions, dragon and lion dance parades, and song and dance galas. On February 7th, renowned calligraphers of Guangzhou, including Lian Deng and Dong Baizhen, will join hands with young calligraphy lovers to demonstrate their calligraphy skills at the Central Platform, writing Chinese New Year couplets and presenting the Chinese character "fu" (meaning "blessings" in English) to citizens free of charge.

Notably, the finals of the 32nd "Five Rams Cup" Chinese Xiangqi Grandmasters Invitational Tournament will also be held at Guangzhou Cultural Park from February 25th to March 1st. Citizens and tourists can admire the beautiful lantern scenery while watching the peak chess duels, and experience the unique allure of Guangzhou as "the ultimate City of Chess." This event, a seamless blend of flower appreciation, lantern viewing, folk customs, and a top-tier chess tournament, will present a rich and vibrant Chinese New Year cultural feast for citizens and tourists.

广州文化公园2026年“迎春花会”将于除夕开幕

2026年广州文化公园“迎春花会”以“岭南春韵 荔映花城”为主题，于2月16日（除夕）至3月3日（正月十五）举办，2月25日（正月初九）至3月3日晚同步开启“元宵灯会”。

本届花会精心打造22组花灯园林景组，嵌入30个品种逾2.2万盆精品花卉，搭配1800余件特色构件与饰物，实现“一步一景、一景一花”的观赏体验，深度融合岭南年味与园林景致。

春节期间，公园还筹备近40场次文化活动，涵盖传统民俗展演、书画展览、龙狮巡游、歌舞汇演等。2月7日，连登、董佰振等羊城书法名家将携手少年书法爱好者，在中心台现场挥毫，免费为市民书写春联、赠送福字。

值得关注的是，第32届“五羊杯”全国象棋冠军赛决赛将于2月25日至3月1日在此举行，市民游客可边赏花灯美景，边观棋坛巅峰对决，感受“棋城中的棋城”的独特魅力，这场集赏花、赏灯、民俗、赛事于一体的活动，将为市民游客奉上浓郁十足的新春文化盛宴。
