The first Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Senior Officials' Meeting and related events will be held at the Guangzhou Baiyun International Conference Center from February 1st to 10th.It will be the first official event of the APEC "China Year". Focusing on the theme of the 2026 APEC "Building an Asia-Pacific Community to Prosper Together" and the three priorities "openness, innovation and cooperation," the meeting will launch cooperation across the board in all areas and through all mechanisms, have in-depth discussions on specific cooperation, and accumulate outcomes for the Economic Leaders' Meeting in November.

More than 70 meetings and related events will be held, with issues covering trade and investment, economic and technical cooperation, scientific and technological innovation, digital economy, cross-border e-commerce, market access, marine and fisheries, intellectual property, food security, health, connectivity, and digitalization of small and medium-sized enterprises.It is estimated that about 1,000 representatives from APEC member economies, the APEC Secretariat and the APEC Business Advisory Council are expected to attend.

Deng Changxiong, deputy director of Guangzhou Office of Foreign Affairs, introduced that Guangzhou has specially launched the "APEC Guangzhou Card." With the card, participants can enjoy convenient access to Guangzhou's public transportation and metro systems, as well as parks, public cultural venues and museums across the city. During the meeting, Guangzhou has also designated five city tour routes themed as "Future Innovation," "Ecology and Humanity," "Cantonese Heritage," "Circular Development," and "Rural Exploration."

1000多名嘉宾齐聚广州，APEC第一次高官会2月1日启幕

APEC第一次高官会及相关会议，将于2月1日至10日在广州白云国际会议中心国际会堂举行。本次会议是APEC“中国年”首场正式活动，将聚焦2026年APEC会议主题“建设亚太共同体，促进共同繁荣”和三大优先领域“开放、创新、合作”，全面启动各领域各机制合作，深入讨论具体合作，为11月领导人非正式会议积累成果。

会议期间将举办70多场会议及相关活动，涉及贸易投资、经济技术合作、科技创新、数字经济、跨境电商、市场准入、海洋与渔业、知识产权、粮食安全、卫生健康、互联互通、中小企业数字化等若干议题，预计将有来自APEC各成员经济体、秘书处、工商咨询理事会等1000多名代表与会。

广州市政府外事办公室副主任邓昌雄介绍，广州专门制作“APEC广州一卡通”，参会代表凭卡可体验广州公交地铁、便捷进入广州市范围内的公园和公益性文博馆所。会议期间广州还策划了5条城市参访线路，分别以“千年商都·创新未来都市之旅”“花城绿心·城央生态人文之旅”“西关寻韵·广府文脉传承之旅”“绿野新章·循环发展体验之行”“花乡蝶变·绿美乡村探索之行”为主题。
