On January 7th, the Information Office of Guangzhou Municipal People's Government held a press conference as part of the "Guangzhou's Achievements during the '14th Five-Year Plan'" series, focusing on Guangzhou's efforts to promote cultural development and prosperity during the period. At the conference, reporters learned that merchandise featuring the mascots for the 15th National Games,"Xiyangyang" and "Lerongrong", has become a runaway hit, with demand far outstripping supply. Sales of related cultural-creative products recorded a peak daily total of over 3 million yuan.
During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, new cultural facilities, including the new Guangzhou Cultural & Arts Center, the new Guangzhou Art Museum, and the new site of Guangzhou Cantonese Opera Theatre, have been completed and opened to the public. The total area of public cultural service facilities exceeds 15 million square meters, with more than 2,200 square meters of public cultural facilities per 10,000 residents. Guangzhou has essentially established the urban "10-minute cultural circle" and the rural "10-li cultural circle", bringing public cultural services within easy reach of residents.
Key indicators of Guangzhou's cultural industry continued to improve during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, with industries such as gaming, animation and esports ranking among China's top performers. Sixteen new business formats of the cultural industry have become major drivers of growth in the city's cultural sector. In 2024, enterprises above designated size in the cultural and related industries generated revenue of 604.08 billion yuan, a 46.1% increase compared with 2020, and the number of such enterprises reached 3,760, up by 776 from 2020. Tourist arrivals and total cultural tourism consumption repeatedly hit record highs. It is estimated that in 2025, Guangzhou has received 260 million tourists and has seen cultural and tourism consumption of 380 billion yuan, representing year-on-year increases of 5% and 7%, respectively.

十五运会文创产品日销售峰值超300万元
1月7日,广州市政府新闻办召开“‘十四五’广州成就”系列发布会——广州“十四五”推动文化发展繁荣新闻发布会。记者从发布会获悉,十五运会吉祥物“喜洋洋”“乐融融”爆款产品“一豚难求”,日销售峰值超300万元。

“十四五”期间,广州文化馆新馆、美术馆新馆、粤剧院新址等建成开放,公共文化服务设施面积超1500万平方米,每万人公共文化设施面积超2200平方米,城市“10分钟文化圈”和农村“10里文化圈”基本实现,公共文化服务触手可及。
“十四五”期间,广州文化产业主要指标持续向好,游戏、动漫、电竞等产业规模稳居全国前列,16个文化新业态成为拉动全市文化产业增收的主力,2024年规模以上文化企业和相关产业实现营收6040.8亿元,比2020年增长46.1%;规上文化企业3760家,比2020年增加776家。旅游接待人数、文旅消费总额屡创新高,预计2025年接待游客2.6亿人次,实现文旅消费3800亿元,同比分别增长5%、7%。
